Three men and... what about the baby?

If you don't actually care that your children learn anything from the actual traditions about the three kings or anything from Biblical scholarship then this film may be for you. It is a well animated flight of fancy which remains barely rooted in the birth of Christ and the scriptural account of the givers of the three gifts. As a priest, it is a film I want to like for attempting to cover this subject with quality animation, but in the end, you may have to spend more time unteaching kids what they saw than this depiction is worth. If you are just looking for bubble gum for the brain to show children around Christmas time (and there is nothing wrong with that), it only barely fits the bill because it is boring. I guess that is the irony of it all. So much was added to embellish the basic story in order to make it more interesting for kids and I don't believe it capable of holding any child's attention of any age from start to finish. I support Disney for marketing this work of animation from Spain since it is only the second instance of their depicting the "religious" meaning of Christmas but I would skip this and watch "Small One" which, although not perfect, is a much better presentation of the Incarnation of God as the meaning behind the holidays.Read full review...

not for Children movie or adults--save your money !!!

this movie is offensive; not a Christmas movie leads into the occult no facts in it; just a real bad movie and now I have it I really don't know what to do with it but throw it in trash and just lost my money; as alot of things my perspective is like everyone else eye of the beholder; every one has their opinion !!Read full review...

The 3 Wise Men

Excellent, funny and nicely produced. The story of the 3 wise men takes a different but entretining turn, and teaches children about choices, loyalty and trust. The believe that there is still magic in the world gives little ones the oportunity to dream of beautiful things, and to know that even though there is evil, the good always triumph. Wether in Spanish or English this movie is funny.Read full review...

This is definitely a cartoon with a sliver of truth about the holiday.

This is a cartoon to maybe introduce the gospel account of the 3 Kings (3 Wise Men). It's cute and has all the elements of good versus evil with good achieving triumph; however, this is no substitute for the real account and the tradition that has developed concerning this feast day.Read full review...
