Some are better than others

Good assortment of Alamo documentaries, some more accurate than others. "Remember the Alamo", hosted by Dennis Quaid, is the most up to date, accurate Alamo documentary that I've seen. The Crockett bio is just the same old myths and boilerplate brush over of his life; no real depth and none of the more recent research on his life. The old Real West Alamo program is out of date and another of the cookie-cutter documentaries in that series.Read full review...

Quality production by The History Channel

Done quite well, as are most History Channel productions. Bought it because we just returned from visiting San Antonio and the Alamo and wanted to hear more. The only negative that I can say is that they don't always remain "neutral" while telling the story. The facts are told neutrally, but you can't help but notice that some comments lean toward the American's viewpoint without regard to the Mexican's side of the story. Overall though, well done and a great view prior to any visit to the Alamo.Read full review...

The Alamo

I found this dvd to be very educational and much to learn about this era of history. I found out things that I never knew about the Alamo and Texas and Mexican History.The Texas Rangers was also a very good history lesson .I would advise anyone who knows nothing about this should buy this dvd.
