Wonderful Parenting Resource

This well written book is exactly what I needed as a new mother. It gave me confidence in many of the maternal instincts I was feeling but didn't know if I should trust -- thanks to all the harsh "baby trainer" advice out there. Dr. Sears provides a comprehensive, common sense, and nonjudgmental look at what attachment parenting is and is not. What I found most refreshing is the compassionate attitude he encourages parents to have toward their babies. Among other things, he helps parents understand that a baby's cries are an effort to communicate, NOT to manipulate. The book is well written and supported by both scientific and anticdotal evidence.Read full review...

I love this book

I was flipping through one of my parenting magazines when I came across a section about what kind of parent are you... According to how I answered these few questions, I found out that I was practicing 'attachment parenting' and I didn't even realize that there was such a thing. I bought the book and I agreed with the style of parenting that the Sears family wrote about. It validated what I was already doing plus gave me some great tips on what to do and what not to do. I now have many of the books from the Sears family and I'm sure I will be getting more.Read full review...

AP by Dr. Sears

Great tips for AP. Found alot of useful information about the topic. All of the Dr. Sears books are a slam dunk.
