The Best of Enemies (DVD, 2019)

"Best of Enemies" is best.

Critics didn't like the actors. Thought they were glum. A black woman fighting for rights in the 60s isn't going to be smiling with glee, is she?
I think this true story needs to be re-released into today's society. Too many need these lessons.
I like a film or book from which I can learn. This film showed how the diametrically opposed can be brought together. Not easy to do.
Injustice is involved; the KKK is prominent; hatred is obvious.

Not a great film but a film well worth buying and watching and learning from.

Best of Enemies is a story about love and civility triumphing over racism and ignorance.

Great movie that fairly portrays the pain and injustice of racism in our country as late as the early 1970s. It is sad that this movie fared so poorly in box office returns; perhaps indicative of a cultural preference of entertainment over education.Read full review
