Could've included more.
Brought back great memories when I was younger. I only wish they would've had all the shows and not just the "best of" since I think they didn't include all of the "best of" shows in my opinion.

Great memories
I remember watching this as a kid in the early 80's and thinking it was funny. However now that im in my 40's I see that it has really good skits and some really bad ones too. Overall this is worth the price and the music guests are very good too. This series definitely should have been released complete or at least by seasons. Very enjoyable!Read full review...

A great travel back in time to one of my favorites, Friday's.
Friday's was one of my favorites from the early 90's. It was hard to say that Friday's wasn't just ABC doing a direct ripoff of NBC's SNL. The Friday's format was nearly identical to SNL.
But Friday's was different from SNL. I had a great crush on Melanie Chartoff who did the news. We didn't know it at the time but we were watching a very young Larry David at the beginning of his career who later went on to giant success with Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiam. This was at the beginning of Michael Richards's career though he rose no way as much as Larry.
It's really hard to explain how and why Friday's was the same or better than SNL. It was just different. I was happy to find this 5 CD, 16 episode set of Friday's showss. Ultimately Friday's couldn't complete with SNL and ABC canceled it, probably too early.
I highly recommend if you were a fan of Friday's, track down this 5CD set and bring back some great memories that you have for Friday's.

Hope it's as good as Originally aired shows
Favorite weekend comedy show that ran in my teen years in H.S. that was a blast !! I hope these discs show- little mr. , or take a pill !! (Strung out pharmacist Larry David), or M.C. doing her news anchor spot . Even better seeing The Cars perform Let's Go & Touch n Go , & Tom Petty & H.B. perform Change of Heart , which is an awesome song that got little air play

It was a good title for late night Fridays television. because Saturday nights had SNL, so Fridays had a place now for late night comedy.
Great show, it was just as good as Saturday Night Live, or even better, the cast was good, and a great lineup of rock bands, it only lasted about three years, it should have went on for years though, it was great for late night Friday television.Read full review...

Good old TV show I used to watch back in the day.
Some pretty great sketch comedy in the SNL mode. Some interesting future stars are featured.

GREAT MUSICAL GUEST HARD TIME WITH THE COMEDY
The musical guest saved this show The Cars,Tom Petty Dire Straits and many more. The Skits are boring and a bit long and not very funny.
