The Best of the Johnny Cash TV Show (DVD, 2007)

These are very good shows. Johnny is at his best. There is a variety of performers who throughout the years have become big stars. June Carter Cash is absolutely beautiful in all episodes in which she appears - which is most of them. There are a lot of jokes between the performers.
The color quality is fair to good but not (of course) the high definition we have today. This however does not at all take away for the wonderful performances.
I didn't care for the, "Ride this Train" addition of each show and could understand why the network wanted this part discontinued - which Johnny Cash fought to keep. I was also disapointed that there was not more comedy skits during these shows.
Overall, I would recommend that any fan of Johnny Cash and/or June Carter Cash purchase this complete set of video's.Read full review...

Any American over 30 needs to refresh their memory on how soulful Johnny Cash was and his contributions to our national songbook .

Best of the Johnny Cash Show (2007, DVD)

Johnny Cash was an all out performer/entertainer. He gave his full heart into his music, and showed great love of other artists works. His love of music crossed all genres, and boundaries, as is demonstrated on this DVD. Although the Johnny Cash show was short lived (only a few years), it earned top billings during it's run. This is some of the greatest moments on that show.
I had purchased a copy for myself, and the one I bought on Ebay was a gift for my Mom. She was a huge influence on the quality music I listen to, and this DVD is certainly full of that, from a variety of artists!Read full review...

Great Classics At Great Price

I bought this DVD for my husband who had been eyeing this DVD at stores during Christmas for 4 X the cost. Not only has my husband turned into a true ebay believer now that I found this great DVD for such a low price, my oldest child, a 9 year old boy, has enjoyed watching Johnny Cash.
