lover revealed by j.r. ward

BACK OF BOOK SAYS:

BUTCH O'NEAL IS A FIGHTER BY ANTURE. A HARD LIVING EX HOMICIDE COP, he's the only human ever to be allowed in the inner circle of the black dagger brotherhood. and he wants to go even deeper into the vampire world to engage int the turf wars with the lessers. he's got nothing to lose. his heart belongs to a female vampire an aristocratic beauty who is way out of his league. if he can't have marissa then at least he can fight side by side with the brothers...

ok, pet peeve time, sorry,

1. it always bothers me like one of those conspriacy movies when the guy visits the girl, but the parents don't tell the girl he visited and tell the guy she doesn't want to see him,

2. then of course it's the old "i'm breaking up for your own good to protect you from those who would do evil"

3. I did like it when marissa stood up to her brother, although we did not see the outcome of that meeting since it was interupted.

4. transformation was good, definately expected that.

still waiting for the v-butch moment, really, just once.............

Wonderful series, but this book shouldn't be read first

What can I say? JR Ward is amazing!! Her Brotherhood series is the type of book readers are easily sucked into. Once there, they don't want to leave. All of her Brotherhood books include information about other Brothers. This book is the same, however, I think that this book should not be read first. In my opinion, this book is part of the "big picture". This book informs the reader of character backgrounds and foreshadows events to come. While it can be a stand alone book, reading this series in sequence, gives the reader more inside information and allows you to easily connect with the Brothers.
One thing to remember, JR Ward never disappoints, and always leaves her readers breathless with anticipation for the next page and book installment. Sometimes this means surprising the reader with an unpopular or unexpected twist to the story. I was completely stunned by the ending of Lover Revealed! At any rate, JR Ward is a goddess in the paranormal romance arena and the biggest reason why anyone reading this review should purchase this book and others of the Black Dagger Brotherhood series.

4th Book in Lover Series

To read this series in order: (1) Dark Lover (2) Lover Eternal (3) Lover Awakened (4) Lover Revealed (5) Lover Unbound (6) Lover Enshrined released June 2008.

This series is on par with Christine Feehan's Ghost Walkers series with regards to the romance and action. Although this series is about bad vampires -vs- good vampire hunters. And not just any vampire hunters, but a very special band of 6 vampire warriors banded together to save their race, plus one human - Don't forget Butch!

The reader meets every one of the male main characters in the first book, then gets to read each guys story in subsiquense books.

I LOVE this series, it keeps me wondering what's going to happen, thrilling and romantic at the same time. I CANNOT WAIT until the next book!!

love lover revealed

I loved this book as well as the whole series. Phurry is easy to fall in love with, and the relationship between Phury band Zsadist (Phury's brother)is great. J. R Ward is a wonderful author who ties in all the books and characters wonderfully. It's easy to fall in love with all the brothers and the woman. Cormina and phury's relationship is easy to believe and you root for them the whole way through. This is also a great lead to the other books to follow. My siggestion read them all.Read full review...

ONE OF THE BEST IN THE SERES

I love each and every one of the super hot Brothers and the first book was the best but I have to say that this one is right at the top.All of J.R.'s warriors are melt in your mouth wonderful, but Butch's story is just fantastic. I felt for him when he was introduced in the first book, Dark Lover. Hard boiled cop with no one to care for or about him, he always felt like he didn't belong, now we know why. Marrisa, the beautiful vampire he falls in love with, is by turns tooooo sweet and innocent ( she's 300 years old, give me a break) or incredibly stubborn. His relationship with Vishious is on the edge hot, not that anything comes of it, but it is very emotional. I loved Butch's metamorphosis . I don't want to give anything away so buy this book....and all the others too.Read full review...

J.R. Ward The Black Dagger Brotherhood

I love this series and have not been able to put it down since I started reading, I just found out that there is a ninth book coming out this month and could not be more excited that this series had one more book coming out so soon. Would recomend this series to anyone who loves a good vampire story with a more mature storyline. Not knocking Twilight one bit, since I love that series as well. But this series is just for me and Twilight I share with my girls.Read full review...

I enjoyed this entire series

However, of the 4 books this is my least favorite. Butch's story had to be told, but he was boring, and predictable.

Now don't get me wrong, J.R. Ward is an amazing author, whom I've recommended, and passed on to several friends. "The Brotherhood" is an addicting thrill ride, that will keep you up well into the night.

This book was disappointing, but necessary.I preferred the back stories to the main characters in this one.

If you're the faint of heart, aka bondage, drugs, sex, and violence bother you, then don't read this book, or the series for that matter.

Lover Revealed

I like vampires and love stories. This book/series is sexy for the most part.Overall I enjoyed the book.

However, I did take issue with the BDSM scenes featuring Vishous and his partner/equipment. I do not think that this subject belongs in mainstream romance. It belongs in erotica. I have absolutely no intrest in BDSM whatsoever!

Also, there were quite a few drug references and more harsh language as well. More so in this book than in her previous books.
