The Bourne Trilogy DVD

The Bourne Trilogy is an action-packed adventure that my husband (and I) love watching when it is on tv. It is suspenseful, exciting, and full of twists. There is some violence, but within the context of the super-secret CIA program it has a place. There are so many commercials on the cable networks, so even though we could use the DVR, we usually forget. With all three movies together, this is an excellent gift idea.

No matter how many times we have seen the same parts on tv, we thoroughly enjoy the story and Matt Damon does an impressive job. I looked for this at various retail shops and it was about $40 retail. I wanted to buy a new sealed one for my husband for Christmas, but wanted to save money since we have a big family. I got a great deal and I am excited to finally find a present that was easy to pick out for my husband!

I highly recommend this for a special man in your life who likes drama. Women will enjoy it also, since there is some romance and suspense with drama. One word of caution: wait until your children are in bed or in another room as there are many adult scenes.Read full review...

Jason Bourne is the man!

If you are a spy-movie lover, then you should appreciate this collection. I enjoyed each of these movies. The story line has complexities but, is easy to follow with limited distractions(such as children, telephone, etc.). Each movie has a great cast of well-known and not so well-known actors that, in my opinion, all do a great job with their roles. Outstanding car chases and well-choreographed fight scenes make these movies exciting and fast-paced.I felt Matt Damon makes his lead role believable by appearing to be an average guy with above average training. The stunt work is wild and exciting, but not insanely unbelievable,such as sky-diving into moving cars, snow-boarding avalanches or cars that defy gravity or seemingly "can't be destroyed".I feel sure that if you enjoy films full of action, you will not be disappointed. I gave this film an excellent rating largely due to consistency, usually with sequels, one or more disappoints the viewer. These films didn't disappoint me, that's why I say Jason Bourne IS the man! I recently saw the Bourne Trilogy at Wal-Mart for $24.95, so shop around. Get your copy at a great price from a reputable Ebayer (like I did), and pop some popcorn. Enjoy!Read full review...

Great Films, Not Sure About This Edition...

The films themselves are great, of course - state-of-the-art action fare, made with enough money and skill to do the job. The DVDs include a lot of good supplemental material, too, and the transfers look great - properly letterboxed rather than 'enhanced' for 16:9 TVs, which really just means 'widescreen-but-we-still-cut-off-the-edges.' My only question is regarding this particular boxed set, in that the packaging looks a little suspect. I'm familiar enough with Universal's releases in general that my gut tells me this might well be a Chinese bootleg, and the price I paid makes it seem even more likely.Read full review...

RE - The Bourne Trilogy (DVD 2008 Bundle of 3)
I have always loved Mat Dillon. He is surpurb in this thriller. I love the fight scenes - just the right length. His abnesia is belieable and as his regret. And the twist at the end is very convencing. I was very impressed.
The love story was good and the lady who played the love interest, well she was spectacular. Just the right amount of 'new to the game' mixed with fear of getting something wrong and the scene where she realizes that people are really dying right after they leave his appartment and the look she gives him a split second before she dies, these are all well done.
I also apreciate that they didn't allow him to fall for the other lady so soon after loosing his 'lady love'.
All in all, I think even with the artistic liscence taking, this is a very close representation of what the author was portrayed in the book.

Jason Bourne! I wasn't long ago if you mentioned the name; Jason Bourne, no one would know who, or what you were talking about. Matt Damon was bourne to play Jason, he is Jason & Jason is the best. Bourne Trilogy

I am very hard when it comes to adding movies to my DVD collection. My criteria is; is this movie good enough that I can watch it over and over again and not get tired of it. Based on this criteria I have a very limited DVD collection.

The Bourne movies definitely meet my criteria. I had all 3 of these but over time lent them out and they never made it back home. When I saw this auction for all 3 unopened movies I jumped right on it. It is rare that Hollywod produces movied any more that once you've seen it that's it. The Bourne Trilogy is the last of a dying breed. If you like good seat of your pants action movies then you cannot go wrong with the Bourne Trilogy.Read full review...

Totally Exciting

Jason Bourne is an "identity crisis" in action. The 3 movies are exciting from beginning to end. There are not many movies I like to watch over and over again, but these three qualify. The action is so fast that you pick up something different each time you watch them.
Although there is some suspense you have little doubt how things will turn out. Even if you don't get wrapped up in "suspense", you will definitely get wrapped up in the action. Don't try to stop watching one in the middle (even after seeing it four or five times before) because you will want to turn it back on as soon as you can.
