So great to see Depardieu and Bouquet together!

This is a beautifully shot, warm film starring former "super-couple," Gerard Depardieu and Carole Bouquet -- about the disintegration of their marriage in 1950s France as Mina (Bouquet's character) falls in love with a man she meets at the movie theater. The only defect is that I do find it hard to believe Depardieu in such a blue collar role (although, admittedly, he has played that before), and also as such a weak husband who would not put up a bigger fight. All that said, this film is gripping and entertaining, and the acting is superb.Read full review...
