The Color of Horses
This book did not meet my expectations. It is somewhat dated and does not have the advantage of recent genetic research. I expected more information on the genetics of horse color such as what colors are possible from a particular mating of various colored horses. This book deals with a description of different colors and how the hair pigment if distributed on the hair. If this is what you are looking for, the book would be fine. It did not meet my needs.
It does include excellent illustrations of the various coat colors.Read full review...
I love Ben Greens books & knew this would be just as informative.
What a wonderful book of information. My daughter (14) and I are learning so much we would never have gotten otherwise.
I love Ben Greens books & knew this would be just as informative. I was not disappointed with this book either. If you've not read Horse Tradin, you are missing some great reading.
This book is worth the money. The 'photo's' which are paintings but look so real like a photo are superior artistry. Amazing insight.Read full review...

THIS IS THE BEST AUTHORATATIVE REFERENCE ON THE SUBJECT OF HORSE COLORS AND CHARACTERISTICS I'VE EVER SEEN. SIMPLE AND YET ENCOMPASSING ENOUGH FOR ANYONE. A PERMANENT ADDITION TO MY LIBRARY.
