GREAT book - a really must have!!!!

An EXCELLENT book - one that all kitchens should have. It shows you basic recipies with BASIC ingredients, no need to scour the supermarket isles looking for special things. Explained in an easy, straight forward way, (even I could understand!!!) and I call it my new testament, as it is as valuable as a bible in this house - it's my cooking bible!!! My mum who passed away about 13 years ago gave me a similiar book (this is a more updated version) and although it is a bit battered and tattered I've still kept it and I refer to that one as my old testament!!! :) EVERYONE should have a copy of this in their kitchen as well as giving tasty recipies, it is VERY informative and educational giving you advice on which cut of beef to choose e.t.c. cooking made easy great value for money

my wife who worked as a professional school cook loves this book she bought this book years ago when it first came out and she is always using it,she was always shearing the recipes with her sister so my wife deceided to bye her a copy which she is delighted with, her other sister who lives in Australia wanted one as well so she sent her one also,my wife finds the recipes easy to follow and theres pleanty to choose from.Read full review...

Lost friend found again.

I burnt the cover of my first book on a hotplate,and spent the next two year's scouring the charity shop,s for a replacement,Then having become a little more adventurous on the computer I searched the internet and their it was, my old friend, after opening the parcel cooking became a pleasure again, it's so straight forward and easy to use.Read full review...

Very useful dual fuel cookbook

Brilliant, easy to follow cookbook that provides both conventional & microwave cooking instructions for the majority of recipes. Basic & fancy recipes are included. I bought this book in 1997 when it was first published & have used it over the years. We now have a second property & this is the book I chose to put in it.Read full review...
