The Devil DOES wear Prada!!!

Well first of all like any other 22 year old girl, I lovve Prada! So, in a sense I was helplessly drawn to this book because of its title. After I read the insert about how Andrea goes to work at a famous fashion magazine, Runway, compared to our Vogue and Glamour, I was even more interested. I thought, what a great job that must be, and also how challengeing. So I bought it and dove right in! Andrea, fresh out of college goes to work as a PA to a horrendous woman, and head editor of Runway, Miranda. From the beginning her every move is questioned and critized but she trudges on so she can get that perfect resume to work for The New Yorker. The book is filled with high fashion, glamour, drama, love, and humour. As I read it I fell in love with Andrea, her boyfriend, and even the infamous Miranda's character. This book was everything I didn't think it would be and kept me reading for a week to get to the end. Would Andrea work for the New Yorker? Would Alex leave her? Is her roommate an alcoholic? And would Miranda everrrrr be nice?? The ending was fabulous and perfect. Unlike most books that build you up to a climax at the end and then just fizzle...this book leaves all your questions asked, and fufills your imagination. I recommend this book to any young woman that enjoys reading her Cosmo magazines and loves fashion and hard work!! Great Read!!!!!Read full review...

Good book better movie

Very seldom do I find a movie I liked better than the book. The book was O.K. but it lacked a true story. The movie had a rise, climax and fall. I was shocked by the odd changes like her boyfriend went from Alex the teacher to Nate the chef and her other friends were very different and YES she did have "relations" with the irresistable Christian the movie was perfect. The book was like reading a boring diary.Read full review...

The Devil Wears Prada

I loved that it tells a story that almost every girl would love to dream about, just for a day...or even two!! A girl who is transformed from nobody to a somebody just because of who she works for. Every girl wants to have the perfect job with the best clothes, for free!

Didn't dislike anything.

Better then the movie!

A funny, funny book. You will find yourself laughing outloud.
The book has much better character development which was lacking in the movie.
Is even funnier if you have known anyone who worked on 7th Avenue.Read full review...

A GREAT LAUGH!

A very entertaining story as told by the diligent assistant. Reminds one of our own rough spots in life where we try to succeed and advance our careers.
