Excellent war movie about a special mission to put it simply, kill off as many high ranking German officers as possible. Lee Marvin is Major Reisman, the lucky guy chosen to lead this mission. He is to go to a military prison and choose twelve prisoners who are under sentence of death or terms of twenty years or more, and train them to become crack commandos, parachute into German held territory and attack a lavish chateau that is being used by very high ranking German officers for R&R. There is an all-star cast including Trini Lopez, Charles Bronson, Clint Walker, Telly Savallas, Jim Brown and many more. Ernest Borgnine plays the General in charge of overseeing the project. Better than I was thinking

I love Charles Bronson and was wondering how his role would be in this movie from all the hype I've heard. He was more of a background actor, but got more of the lens than most. All in all I'd recommend this movie if you have over 2 hours to spare. A lot of the stuff that happened wasn't very probable, but you find yourself bonding with the crazies and rooting for them :PRead full review...
