Looking into the future

This is a great movie. It is full of adventure every where you turn. It gives us a glimpse of what the "future" could be like for us. Chris Tucker is extremely funny in this film in his "girlish" ways. This movie does feature the classic good versus evil and of course with the good winning, but just by a hair. Bruce Willis plays the part of Dallas Corbin, who is a taxi cab driver in the future NYC and has Mia, who plays Lee Loo, falls into his cab. Not only is Bruce Willis trying to save the girl, but apparently, the whole world too from evil. Of course the movie would not be completed with a little romance thrown in there to end this adventurous movie!Read full review...

excellent sci/fi action adventure with Bruce Willis

Saw this the first time on cable. wanted to see again, so I bought one online. the plot is okay, and the special effects are cool enough--really liked the flying cars portrayed in the film. Willis is again at his best, in a role where he is thrust into a situation not of his own making, without choice. He is caught up in saving a girl who is part of a planet defense system, put into place centurys ago by aliens. Watch for Chris Tucker as Ruby Rue, the celebrity host. His attire, voice, and facial expressions are a riot. The girl is played by Milla Jovovich--she is pretty foxy looking, even with the weird language she spouts during the film. Her fight scene with the bad guy aliens is really cool----and she kicks but!!!! All in all a really good sci/fi action movie.Read full review...

I finally have my own copy of the fifth element. I have watched and rented this movie 10 times over the past years. I wish there was a sequel. It’s that good.

Blast from a Futuristic Past

This movie is great. Cheesy, 100%, but it has action, romance, comedy... A bit of sexism but it's from the 90s so *shrug* (By that I mean almost all service workers in any industry are scantily clad women, "important" jobs like police, scientists, President, are all men, etc.)

It will forever be one of my all-time favorites.

The Fifth Element

Classic sci-fi spoof. Fun and funny. Fabulous cast, including Bruce Willis as the driver of a flying taxi. Retired CIA. Gets called back to handle an alien invasion threat. Chris Tucker, as the way out disc jockey. Gary Oldman as the semi-borg inept arms dealer. Mila Jovovich, as the alien girl who literally falls into Willis' cab from the sky. Enjoy!Read full review...

A great cast and a superb plot

The Fifth Element

A great sci-fi action flick with an amazing cast and a superb plot.

The action scenes are incredible and Milla Jovovich is awesome. The Fifth Element is as funny as it is action packed mostly due to Chris Tucker.

The Fifth Element is great fun for the whole family, and is a must for all action fans.

Final Verdict:

4/5

Rent or Buy?: If you're not a huge sci-fi fan you might want to rent this one before buying it, but it's a solid purchase and even more of a solid rental.

IF YOU FIND THIS REVIEW HELPFUL PLEASE REMEMBER TO VOTE. Thank you.

BRUCE WILLIS SAVES THE UNIVERSE

This Science Fiction movie has some typical, and some less typical storylines, winding around in the very best texture I have ever seen in any movie. The depth of field is used to show many stories height, or miles away in depth, in graphic special effects, you have to see!! Also, while the aliens are several different types, no confusion is left as they group into good and bad aliens, very nicely. There is an unusual opera, after which everyone dies in a bad shootout, but Bruce and a couple odd new friends who assist him in saving the universe for goodness and life, against evil and death.

I bought this to have a great series of scenes with lovely colors and depth for sci-fi collection. Also because this movie reminds me of early comic books, where trying a new idea was accepted 50 years ago. I wish more ideas of this nature could be tried!!
