Fantastic "What if?" film!
Great underrated 80s film! The crew of a modern (1980) US Navy aircraft carrier are transported back to Dec 6th 1941- one day before the attack on Pearl Harbor.
The cast is made up of some heavyweights with Martin Sheen and Kirk Douglas in the lead roles. James Farentino, Katherine Ross and Charles Durning round out the cast. They all put in stellar performances. Despite the far fetched plot, their deliveries are genuine and not corny or forced.
Almost all of the ship board scenes were filmed aboard the actual USS Nimitz and used its crew as extras adding to the realism of ship activities. Plenty of shots of launches and landings of various Navy jets and aircraft!
The bluray itself is decent quality. It's still an 80s film so there is some grain, but it is definitely superior to the dvd version more widely available. Very happy with this purchase!Read full review...

I saw in my youth,it was very enteraing.So I decided to find it and buy it.If possible.Finding movies you grew up with today.At a reanonable $ 20.00 to 25.00 is extremely difficult come by.Don't get me wrong.I know due to the year itwas made and new generation.To sale movies at ridiculous high price.No body will buy the movies.Production companies might as well make redigitedmaster movies and tv shoews back 45 years and sell them at local electronic retailers.For 3 months and reasonable price.They won't mucho dolars,but definitely make a fair return profit.Read full review...
