I haven't seen this movie for many years. Jeanette MacDonald and Nelson Eddy were favorites of my mother.
Glad to see them again and hear then sing too. A cute story starting the characters as children. The DVD worked out fine no problems with it. Will watch it again some other time.

Great Singing, Great Songs

I have always loved the music in this western romance every since I saw it many years ago in a theater specializing in old movies. I love having it on dvd so I can go straight to the songs, which I think are among Sigmund Romberg's best and, unfortunately, because this movie was not particularly successful, are not available on cd. My one quibble is Jeanette MacDonald's phony western accent which I find distracting, but fortunately that doesn't hinder the quality of her singing.Read full review...
