The Green Hornet (Blu-ray/DVD, 2011, 3-Disc Set, 3D/2D)

Good comedy-action film

I saw this in 3D when it was first released in theaters, and it seemed to me to be one of the better 2D to 3D conversions (shot in 2D and converted to 3D in post-production).

Even though there is a good deal of violence in this film, it is mostly a comedy, as you would expect with Seth Rogen playing the title character. There are also some established stars in the film, like Christoph Waltz, Tom Wilkinson, Cameron Diaz and Edward James Olmos.

There is plenty of action in the film and some interesting special effects, including "Kato Vision".

It is just a "popcorn movie" and I enjoyed it on that level.Read full review

Green Hornet 3d

I am very happy with the purchase. My wife and I watched it the very night of the day it was received. 3D makes all our movies more enjoyable, but this one was better than most. If a followup becomes available, I'll be sure to get one of those, also. Better story line, and more believable than many films today. Plenty of action and suspense, without unnecessary wholesale killing and violence..
