In these frugal times, we all try to get more than one use out of everything. The Jumbo Duct Tape Book by Jim Berg, Tim Nyberg and Tony Dierckins (paperback),if purchased with solely this in mind, will disappoint. It is much more than that. The book demonstrates its humor through pictures of the authors involved in seemingly impossible tasks to "illustrate" some of the wild ideas. However after skipping over some of the silliness one finds really good ideas for unique uses for this sticky wonder. Really! For example, use duct tape to remove fiberglass insulation from your body. Or splinters! Keep a roll in your car in case anything should become loose until you can get home and get it fixed properly. There is even a cure for warts supposedly recommended by doctors. One could skip over the fun idea of duct taping bubble wrap to the tires of a friend's car so when they back up they think they are being shot at. Consider the book a little like "Saturday Night Live" for laughter sprinkled with much needed information. By the way, the book and a role of the stuff makes a GREAT gift for Father's Day, housewarming parties or the person who has everything. Well worth the purchase price.Read full review...

Easy to read with the large print, and it is not too heavy to hold comfortably..

Very clever and fun. And, so true! I have used duct tape many times in the past and have a job coming up in the near future (when I find the time)! Great book.

Neat!

I bought this book for a friend of mine as a gag gift because he fixes everything with duct tape! I thumbed trough the pages a little bit before I added it to the gift bag and thought it was neat. funny ha ha! LOL loads of tips also. good book. Used book but that does not deflect the use of the book. The tips are usefull and the humor is funny. Glad I bought it.

Jumbo title but weak on ideas

Basically, the book is mostly full of LAME ideas that lack imagination and creativity. The low price of this book definitely reflects the old saying: "you get what you pay for". I only paid four dollars, but even that was a waste. You are better off spending the money on duct tape and coming up with your own ideas.Read full review...

Duct Tape book

It is a funny read. I was hoping that there were projects to do, but it had a lot of ideas on how to use duct tape. Some practical some not so. But it is a very entertainiing read.

My husband uses duct tape for every little repair in and outside the house, faucets, bathroom window to keep the ants out, hoses, etc, etc. So I gave him the book for Christmas..... He hasn't looked at it, though.Read full review...
