Phenomenal game

Fantastic game! One I've wanted for a while and am happy I picked up. It is a bit difficult going back to older Zelda titles after playing things like BotW and TotK, but it's nothing you can't get used to on an older console. I'm enjoying my time with it and find the story and characters to be wonderful. (I am biased however, I really just love all Zelda games.) The biggest annoyance I have is aiming, but that's mainly because I'm used to the newer Zeldas. Again, it's nothing you can't get used to. The graphics are clearly older, but not bad looking in the slightest. And I find the game itself to be fun enough that I don't really notice the older look unless I compare it to screenshots from the HD remake. I think, overall, the game is great. If you're a fan of Zelda, you will enjoy the game regardless of its age.Read full review...

One of the most compelling Zelda Titles.

This Zelda game is a must own. If you’re a fan of the older N64 games, this plays just like them.

The controls in the game are easy and friendly to use. Compared to other Zelda titles, this one has been the most enjoyable to play. Even with the new Breath of the Wild, this game has a charm to it. It has actual dungeons and characters that feel more alive. There is a bit of repetitive gameplay, designed to make you come and go through same areas twice or more.

If you can get this game, it’s worth it. GameCube or wii, this game is fun.

The Overlooked Gem of the Zelda Franchise

This game with it's flaws is an amazing piece of work! While the graphics of the GameCube don't quite suit the gameplay... The controls are unmatched by the excellent ergonomics of the GameCube controller! You will easy spend 70+ hours playing this Cinematic, Emotional, entry to the beloved Legend of Zelda franchise! This game will keep you entertained. While some prefer the classic, Ocarina of Time; Twilight Princess is truly an overlooked gem and is quite possibly the best 3D Zelda game to date!Read full review...

Great game great price

One of the best Zelda games overall. Great price and item arrived in great shape. My children starting playing when it arrived and are still working through it, loving every minute (except for difficult challenges which take a lot of practice to complete). If you own a GameCube, this is worth the investment, and Zelda fans will not be disappointed in any way. Children think it is way better than Ocarina of Time in terms of graphics and gameplay.Read full review...

A beautiful Zelda world to see. Fantastic game.

Graphically one of the best Zelda games out there, Twilight Princess offers a lot of new dynamics that the other Zelda titles never could have. The wolf shape shifting gave a great feel to the gameplay, and Midna's snarky remarks were a great replacement for the constant chiming of Navi.
The game has a lot to offer, but still lacks in some areas. The Temples themselves, although great to look at, offer very little challenge in the puzzle aspect that the Zelda universe has been come to be known for. The Boss Battles themselves, although graphically amazing and aesthetically stunning, were seriously short and simple.
However, the world itself is quite immersive and beautiful, while offering a great sense of combat control and a more unique weapon set than any game prior to this one (even if you still somehow use a slingshot as an adult, I mean, what gives?).
All in all, it is a great game in the series, just not...the best.

Graphics? Peh Gameplay? Yea Best New Zelda Game? NO

Ok, well heres the scoop. If your a hardcore zelda fan and played ocarina of time or majoras mask, YOU WILL NOT BE IMPRESSED BY IT. I myself have played those two and when i played this one I felt it was too easy and the characters DONT look realistic. The graphics are better, dont get me wrong, but nintendo just looks like they want a cartoony sort of Link and not make him look real. Which is quite disapointing. Also they took out the ocarina of time , so you cant play any songs on it, instead you only HAVE 2 songs you can play by picking up GRASS. This was very irritating and disapointing. All you can do is call a hawk and epona once in a while..... The gameplay is overall the same, but made much easier and the enemys dont even look realistic. But its a NEW ZELDA GAME, so its not that bad, and still packs a punch in the gameplay and fun factor. So i would recommend it to be rented if your new to zelda games and waited for the price to go down for those hardcore gamers that love all zelda games, but trust me... you wont be impressed by this one....

Thanks for reading and i hope this helped....

another homerun for the creator of link/zelda. long playing/fun

the only reason I give it a 4 out of 5 is that I am partial to the original style link and the original style game play. now on the other hand this was a very very did I say very interesting take on the game, some new up to date game play/characters and I loved some of the new takes on the puzzles and caverns/dungeons. plus the vision of the game makers on the old weapons and how they were used in the game. I really really liked the cave/dungeon of trials. lets just say the first time I played it ,it took me over 100 hours to play the game taking my time to enjoy every new twist and turn . from the way the game looked to each battle with the new bosses/mini bosses. the second time through the game took me half the original time or about 57 hours.now I am playing it again and my time is down to 37 hours. in other words the game was so entertaining I had to play it again and again . and? the music and sound effects were great, not to mention the new visual effects. I put this up there with the graphics and sound effects of Bethesda soft oblivion and knights of the nine except more family friendly. could not ask for a better game for the price. i am so glad I waited to buy it) on ebay ,saving money)just before the new version of Zelda is suppose to come out either this year or in 2014.i have every Zelda game out there except for the Gameboy versions. I just bought the original and was playing it on a yobo console. let's just say there is really nothing better than Zelda or should I say the adventures of link out there in my opinion.and? spoiler alert? not to give away the ending ,but ? this is the first version where link gets to actually end the game instead of it running a movie scene created by the game makers. I really loved that part. now if they could just make a version where the player actually becomes link and does all the moves, but? then you would have to be a tri- athlete (tireless) to play it : ). anyway this game was fun, funny, creative, entertaining, and makes you use your brain a little all while making it easy and fun to do.i hope the next version has more dungeons/caves/caverns to investigate with more mini bosses in them. anywaaaay you can't go wrong with buying this game unless you use cheats without really trying to play it on your own all the way through. don't get wrong if you actually need a hint how to finish a section of the game then that is okay, but try to figure it out yourself or by talking to say your family/brothers/sisters/work with someone to get it. then you will get more enjoyment out of beating the game. just my opinion on the last part. : ) later.Read full review...

Best Zelda game EVER !

This game is challenging, breathtaking, and it is like you enter a whole other world when you play. As you ride to save Hyrule, it is like it is your home too. Graphics are advanced for the time. The story is very unforgettable and compelling. The hero and the characters are endearing, and heartwarming. The monsters are detestable and worthy opponents. I would recommend this game highly.Read full review...

Twilight Princess: Good, but not up to Zelda standards

I bought the Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, because I have played and loved the previous Zelda games (with the exception of Four Swords, which I refuse to try). I had high expectations going into it and was, for the most part, not let down.

The graphics were amazing.
I loved Link's "inner beast." I wish they had included more wolf-levels, because it was the best part of the game.
I loved the new items, though I missed the ocarina. Blowing grass is not nearly as fun, though I did enjoy howling.

The gameplay was... disappointing. It was still a good game, but not up the standards set by previous games. The game seemed shorter than others and the bosses were too easy. I thought there was more out-of-the-box problem solving, which I enjoyed. Midna was a welcome replacement for a fairy (or even a dragon boat). Zant was a major letdown. I spent most of the game excited that there was finally a new enemy... and then the "final" battle was pathetically easy. And the cheesy, wait! it's not quite over yet twist was also pathetic. Basically anything involving the bosses was a letdown, though some of the subbosses were fun. The other big flaw was the lack of games. There were only two or three real minigames, which cut down on the time I spent playing the game. With Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, and Windwaker, there were oodles of minigames that I could play.

A very minor flaw was Epona. I loved the black and white mane of the old Epona was furious when I saw the new, more normal looking Epona. However, I did like the new riding abilities.

I also loved the way they used the old map and freshened it up.

Overall, it was still an excellent game and I recommend it, but if you haven't played Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, or Windwaker (even if you typically hate cartoony graphics), go buy them instead!

My favorite Zelda

Breath of the Wild may be the best Zelda, but Twilight Princess is in my opinion the best "classic" version. The GameCube version is best because of no motion controls. I was asked by eBay, "Is it a good value?" and to that I say "no". This game is very expensive because of scarcity and age. Is it worth it though? That's subjective. I thought so, and that's why I bought it. Read full review...
