Gotta Love It!

I've been trying to get this soundtrack for years. A Disney classic which has hit songs by awesome artists! As an adult, I truly enjoy most of Disney's movies and the soundtracks are always poignant and memorable, The Lion King is no exception. My children who are now tweens have little problem with asking to play any Disney soundtrack which is refreshingly reassuring. It's nice to know my tweens don't prefer listening to bad rap or other questionable lyrics and can admittedly enjoy wholesome Disney songs. Disney also hires the best artists to perform their music. Elton John's renditions on this soundtrack are excellent. Listening to the soundtrack makes me wish I could attend the Broadway musical version of this wonderful movie!Read full review...

A Masterpiece Soundtrack

It's amazing when things today are hard to find or are never meant to seen again. But with original soundtrack Disney The Lion King. I feel much happier when I brought it. My last one was scratch and destroyed, and now with this, the music and art cover of the CD is the same and wonderful. The soundtrack is the best, and when I had it, I felt I was 6 again listening to my childhood favorite musics of all time.

Lion King CD Still Roaring Good

I wanted this CD when the movie came out. At that time, it was rather expensive, as most things are when they're on the "hit list." I was amazed to find this CD available at such a low price; so, my expectations were not very high. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised! The CD is in excellent condition and the sound is remarkably clear. I love the music and the lyrics to all of the songs. Yes, I have my favorites. Being older and having seen the new movie recently, I still love the soundtrack of the original movie better. You just can’t replace Elton John singing Circle of Life!

A Great Soundtrack for all generations

I saw the movie when it first came out and loved the music they had throughout. The songs are lively and beautiful. I feel that Elton John has a brilliant mind when it comes to some of his music. "Circle of Life" is one of my all-time favorites on this CD, both versions. "Hakuna Matata" is my second, it's a cute and funny song, love it! The Lion King Soundtrack on CD

My wife and I have the DVD and have seen the play in NY and London, but we realized one night, when discussing how much we liked the opening song, that we didn't have the CD. We got on eBay right away and purchased the CD in a matter of minutes and received it in just a few days. Very simple and cheap solution to the problem. Not as quick as running down to the record store, but much cheaper and simpler.
