This movie is outstanding! A wonderful tale of a young female cub, trying to find her own independence. The only thing I don't approve of is the rebellion of the lioness, it teaches our children to be disobedient... if you notice a lot of Disney movies do that. Either to lie, sneak out, live with 7 men... hopefully Disney can create more movies pushing towards obedient children, cubs, young women. I do love Disney movies, I also grew up with them. My daughter comes up with these crazy ideas now to sneak out once everyone is asleep to find bambi and keep him safe from the hunters, and also to capture tinkerbell... we had to install childproof handles on our doors :D .... she's 4. having the complete set!!!!!!yeah!!!!!!!!!!!

i had recently purchased the other 2 movies to this set and wanted to complete my set. this is a wonderful story of the life of a young lion named simba.in lion king 2,which by the way is actually #3 in the set simba has grown up and taken his fathers place as king of the pride.he is still having to contend with the remains of scar,his evil uncle,who caused simba's fathers' death in #1.simba has a daughter in this movie named naylia. and she going through some "growing up" problems of her own involving scars' son.but everything works out in the end.leaving you waiting for some more good ole disney storytelling. i give this movie(it and the whole set)ten thumbs up and 20 stars!!!!!great story for kids young and old!!!!!!!!Read full review...

I love "The Lion King II: Simba's Pride".

I didn't remember seeing direct-to-video sequels, but I would liked to watch all. But "The Lion King II: Simba's Pride" is my favorite.

The artistry is wonderful and the colors too.

My daughter asked to have this movie as a gift for Christmas. We have always enjoyed The Lion King, so I thought that this would be good as well. I can't say it is my favorite of the two.
