Loved it, bought it
This is a great family/kids movie for Halloween. A loner kid spends time with his grandfather, who was a horror film maker back in the days of Lon Cheney jr and Bela Lugosi. Grandpa had a film he had never released because it had accidentally become imbued with the ability to bring to live his super-natural villains. The boy does screen the film, then when the monsters come to life, pleads with his mother (Linda Blair-the Exorcist) and best friend to find the secret to putting them back in the movie before the local townsfolk come to peril. The sheriff in the film (Adam Baldwin) is also brought to life and recuited. This is an amusing movie to screen while pumpkin carving or giving out trick or treat candy. I have made it one of my annual Halloween rituals.Read full review...
