This is the most complete book about Nikon cameras I know . The fourteen chapters covers every aspect of the Nikon cameras from 1917 to present. The author discuss every piece of the Nikon collection analyzing all the characteristics, improvements,and advantages of cameras,lenses, flashes and accesories in a simple and clear way. The pictures are excellent and the tables on the Appendix cover the complete specifications of all Nikon equipment. The book is a hard bound of 414 pages with a very nice paper and construction. Nikon Compendium

This is the 2004 edition, so it does not include the F6 film camera. Would love to have an updated version available. Still the reigning bible for the Nikon enthusiast, and worth every penny.
