Light weight with great features

This produce in multipurpose. I use it for fun with the family and to place around my bird feeder poles to keep the squirrels from the bird food! It works, just snip open the top and bottom of the slinky and wrap around the pole attach at the top with tie on. Squirrels hate the spring action and get down. Finally something that works.Read full review...

Nice, but not as good as the original.

Based on my research, the original Slinky was composed of approximately 80 feet of coiled metal. My calculations on this one comes up with it being less than 60 feet. When trying to get it to "walk" down the stairs, the back end will inevitably flip over on it's side and be dragged over the upper step, disrupting the process. Does not make the same calming slinky sound that I remember from my childhood either. Read full review...

Fun as a kid, more as an oldster!

Made like the old days-stainless not cheap breakable plastic but a few people around the house hate it. My squirrel raiders were stealing the food out of my bird feeder and now they climb the coiled slinky until the weight drops them to the ground. They still get plenty of seeds as I throw them some. Fast delivery, thank you.Read full review...

The real thing

This is the original metal slinky; I bought it for my 7 yr old grandson to:1) play with slinky-style and, 2) can serve as an antenna for his crystal radio. Looks good, but I haven't actually played with it. Appears durable. JSRead full review...

It works as a slinky.

If your looking for a slinky, it is as described. I bought it because a friend recommended it to use on my bird feeder pole to keep squirrels of the feeder.. I put it around the pole and let it hang down. One of them has figured out to get around it.
If you are using it as a slinky, it works.

WORKS FOR WHAT IT WAS DESIGNED FOR AND BRINGS BACK MEMORIES.

WORKS JUST LIKE THE ONE I HAD AS A KID MORE THAN 50 YEARS AGO! I DIDN'T BUY IT TO PLAY WITH, I BOUGHT IT TO KEEP SQUIRRELS FROM CLIMBING THE BIRD FEEDER POLE. THEY'RE COSTING ME A FORTUNE! HAVEN'T BEEN 100% SUCCESSFUL AT THAT, SOME DON'T LIKE TO CLIMB WITH IT ON THE POLE, AND SOME ACT LIKE IT ISN'T THERE. BUT I'LL KEEP TRYING.Read full review...

Original Slinky Brand

We bought several of these to keep the squirrels off our bird feeders. So far they work great. We haven't had them up long enough to speak about if they are durable..

buy one local at a store, so when it messes up , you can return it.

got a kink in it almost immediately , that's with me trying it, not the 6 year old grandson. Had to cut off a few coils to get it to work , kind of. Wouldn't go down stairs, but in all fairness our stairs are a little wide, not like the stairs at cousin's house I used one at when I was a kid in the 60'sRead full review...
