The Real McCoy by Wendy Towle (1995)
Well written, easy to understand yet intriguing. What a story to write about! I purchased this book for my grandchildren because their father has a patent pending and thought it might be interesting as a family read. It was; and I greatly appreciated learning about Mr. McCoy and his accomplishment. It broke my heart as well to realize how differently people were treated when he lived because of their color. However, the book also encourages me to reflect on what a great nation God gave us with our many freedoms we have today.Read full review...
