Good read, but not the best from Hunter.
I brought the book because of the name Hunter S. Thompson. I have read other books by him, and was of course looking for the sting found in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Sadly the book does not have the fire found in other books and pieces by Hunter, and although it is not a book to be ignored it is also not one of Hunter's best pieces either. At best it is an average read, but you will read it. If you are a first time reader of Thompson then this book maybe for you, but if you are use to his stylized approach and the runaway feel of pieces like Fear and Loathing then you will not find it here. Although that said, it is still worth a read, Hunter has a great sense of humour and writing style that captures that.Read full review...
