Good Robin Hood with a Disney flare~ fun~
lesser (much) lesser known of the Robin Hood Stories with the Disney touch. Robin is very good as Richard Todd and Maid Marion is excellent by Joan Rice. as per disney little violence but lots of chases , sword fights and fun~
We see the young Robin and Maid Marion and how they grew up and the fun relationship they had. the BEST of the MEAN Sheriff of Nottingham (Peter Finch) you will hate this guy from the minute you hear his voice~ and see his sneering face...best of the movie ....the traveling minstrel singer /player is fun to hear as a touch most other movies lack. Robin robs for a good cause in this one to help raise the ransom for the kidnapped King of England Richard who is out fighting the crusades...and his mean brother is out to keep the king kidnapped by stealing the loot back~ colorful costums I give this a solid
7 out of 10 for a fun Robin Hood Movie. I liked this version because Maid Marion is more than the "helpless" girl which is a bit of fun~
