Classic movie Great Collector's Edition

I am a big fan of John Carpenter's The Thing. I have been watching it since the 80's. , I currently own 5 different home video versions including Laserdisc and Digital. But this is THE one to have, it has so many special features I can't even list them. The DVD cover is reversible, one side is the theatrical poster artwork, the other is one of the most detailed and beautiful movie package artwork I have ever seen. Fantastic edition. You Gotta be....Kidding!

This is the best collector's edition on the market. It has been out for a few years now, so should be fairly easy to obtain. The 2k transfer is pretty good, not amazing. Considering this is a relatively dark and blue film. The sound is superb, you can really hear all the alien sound effects. Makes you think something is crawling around behind or above you with a speaker system. A must by for collector's and fans of legendary filmmaking. Never looked better

I saw The Thing when it first came out in 1982 in the theater and this blu ray version looks every bit as good as i remembered it. Ive seen this movie many timed over the years in both dvd and vhs formats and this blu ray version blows everything away, totally beautiful colors, everything looks fantastic. I watched this on big Hisense smart tv with my LG soundbar system with surround sound and it sounded great.. this is the version of The Thing that you want. The audio is unmatched on this VS any other version of the film I have owned. Most of the film is of superb visual quality. I will say, the beginning sections of the film are littered with noise, and some scenes following the opener as well.
