Is it really still the x-files?

I bought season 8 of the x-files cuz I loved the first seven. But @ the end of season 7 Mulder went missing. Now there's a new x-files male agent and he doesnt feel like he actually fits as an x-files character. I feel a lot of it has to do with the way the actor plays him. There have been plenty of skeptics in the x-files series, and the show would be hoky without them. But this guy plays it wrong. like he's trying too hard to live up to the series legacy rather than playing the role naturally. Plus this new character forces Scully to take on the role of the believer which isn't right as any fan can tell you. Of i do reconize that the creators had to do something considering that David Duchovny left the show for this season. There's an actor that looks a lot like him they pass him off as david but he's not. So kudos to the producers for continuing the series despite loosing their leading man, but that still don't mean the show feels right.If you want to see the fully x-files story buy this but if you want the greatness of what makes x-files great seasons 1-7 will suffice.Read full review...

X-Files,The names starts the wonder and suspense.

The actors are my draw to the X-Files. I love the relationship Scully and Mulder
have as a team. It's a love relationship yet she would not have you think so. She
really defends him in her heart, while outside she is suppose to be finding his faults. Even though I don't believe in the paranormal I love the suspense and drama of The X-Files. I enjoy watching each season. I have collected seasons 1-9
through ebay. The creation of The X-Files have proven to be a great success with
reason for each episode is an adventure of action, suspense, drama, paranormal
and love all wrapped into one. What can I say? I love it and I'm a great fan!!!!

X-Files Season 8 Review

Since I love everything X-Files and the second movie was released this year (six long years after the show ended) I had to have this season. In fact, I had to buy all the seasons. Season 8 was a chance for Gillian Anderson playing Dana Scully to shine because David Duchovny playing Fox Mulder wasn't on the show as much as previous seasons. Scully was able to hold her on, take on a new partner and continue her desperate hunt for Mulder. Season 8 wasn't my favorite season, but I do think it was important for the show.Read full review...
