The Golden Compass (2008, DVD)
I decided to buy this movie because the books were outstanding!! Although the movie is slightly different than the books it was still a great movie! My kids highly enjoy it!

It's more a movie for an older child but I got my first grandchild and thought he make like it. So that's why I bought it. The special effects are great nice family oriented movie

The concept is unique, can't wait for the sequel. I hope they keep the same actors. Question: where do these animals poop? I can see a trip to Earth coming. I wonder how they will explain the animals that come through? Maybe with a travelling circus.Read full review...

What can i say the writting was excellent....the plot too....and i can see they are going to make a second and probably a third part to this....worth spending an hr or 2 watching....

I was not impressed - color, scenery, clothing, music - all great - story line - over done and boring - not easy to understand inuendos

A great movie enjoyed by all in the family....Grandchildren loved it...The little amimals called the pepole's demons were ever so cute.................. A great family movie
