Quintessential Romantic Comedy

There's just something about this movie......Every once in a while a movie comes along that just makes you feel good every time you see it. You can watch it over and over and enjoy it every time. Before long you are saying the dialog along with the characters. There is something about the combination of music, actors, storyline, and scenery in this movie that always brings a smile to your face. This movie is diffently one of those movies for me. Often times I'll play it while I'm doing other things around the house, a pleasing background sight and sound. Sometimes I'll watch it as I sit and do handwork. And sometimes I concentrate on the movie and maybe have some popcorn. It's enjoyable no matter how it's watched. A quintessential romantic comedy. Incredible and Refreshing!

I LOVE this movie... I had seen this movie prior to buying, and one of the things I love about it is that it's not your typical chick flick. Now I for one love chic flicks, but this movie was very refreshing in the sense that there were many other aspects involved. There is a wonderful subplot involving Iris (Winslet)and an old man who has since seen his glory days in the movie industry. Another dynamic deals with how the characters get over their lost loves and learn to move on. And no, moving on does not mean getting back together with their breakups in the end. I would recomend this movie to any one, but do beware if there are children around... Although this movie is for the most part pretty good, there are still a few scenes were it would be wise for little ones to either close their eyes or plug their ears. It has a PG 13 rating which should give a good idea as to how bad the offences are, but otherwise this movie is terrific!Read full review...
