Awesome game. Glad to have it and highly recommended for RPG players.

I played a demo a long time ago and was interested in it, because I had not played any RPGs at that time. Also, I didn't own a PS1, so I could not play it either. After all these years, I've still wanted to experience this game, for which I have heard many great games.

I like the traditional RPG elements found in this RPG, as well as the cut-scenes, musical score, the story, and the Dragoon transformations and powers. I don't like the fact that there are so many disks to look over (4 in total) for one game, but I can understand that because of the limitations of the hardware and software, this was the best they could do. I doesn't ruin the experience.

It is definitely different from any other PS1 RPGs that have been considered classics. Check it out if you are even curious about this title.Read full review...

My Favorite Game

LOD is MY favorite, its my ONLY favorite game, i'm not kidding. It will always be my favorite. The soundtrack is alluring, i sleep to it at night sometimes. it is the ONLY game that has the best music in my opinion. The graphics are pretty average but the waters are BEAUTIFUL. The battle system is pretty stricked, becuase an enemy can't attack you while youre trying to prepare to do something, its either your turn or not. The story is RICH, whoever made it up is a freaken genius. There are 4 disks to this game, you have ALOT to do.

basically just give a brief summary, its about a young man who's trying to seek revenge and answers about the "black monster" who attacked his homeland and killed his parents 18 years ago. nobody really speaks of the black monster anymore since all the witnesses are dead and since its been almost two decades, but as he returned to town, he found that the place has been attacked and that his childhood friend, Shana, has been kidnapped by Hellena goons. apparently they discovered that Shana has a mysterious power that has to deal with "the moon that never sets" Meaning a Moon that stays in the sky day and night in their world. but along their journey they meet a woman who has an extreme knowlege about the events that happen around them. they each gruadually receive the powers of the PAST Dragoons that once lived 11000 years ago during the Dragon Campaign which was a war where humans tried to fight for their freedom against winglies, who were pretty much humans too but they had advanced powers, silver hair and the ability to fly. Dart has a BIG connection to that Dragon Campaign.

Legend of Dragoon

Good game, overall. The dragoon power was hyped as fantastic and original, when it was actually so-so. It wears off too quickly to be much use early in the game. Story was interesting, though it unfolds in pieces like a puzzle that you have to put together, with twists that build for a long time. A LONG time; the game goes on somewhat too long. Still, if you go into it with no expectations other than playing an entertaining RPG, you won't be disappointed. Graphics on a par with FF7, but so are the effects (cool)! Legend of Dragoon

it's a great RPG that will appeal to both children and adults. the story will captivate you until you finish the game.you have to like to read to appreciate the game as you have to read a lot, but that's what makes it interesting.it's also very funny at times.

it's a story about heroes(dragoons)trying to save the world from destruction and each character is different from the other,male and female, with different type of powers that will be better suited to a certain type of enemy.

you can only choose 3 characters(fighters)during each battle,you cannot switch while in battle,so you have to choose the best fighters for the battle before fighting any enemy.

at first it may appear like a complicated game if you're not used to playing RPG's, but once you know what each function is for you can go pretty fast.

the only drawback at first is that you have to face enemies almost every few seconds,and sometimes it's hard to escape,so you have to fight a lot.that much fighting will help you achieve new additions and higher levels though. but once you get a special kind of stone from some enemy,later in the game,you'll be able to escape every time if you want.
