Beautifully filmed and acted; Authentic period piece - set, clothing, old-English language - really well done. Created great anticipation - yet lacked real fright. I personally don't care for story lines whereby evil entities manifest themselves in animals or humans - and this part of the story I thought was weak and ineffective. I was let down by the climax and anti-climax, and found the ending to be weak. I believe this movie missed the mark on created spine-tingling fear and horror - it had great potential.
