great movie to watch with your girlfriend or wife

love triangles have long been fodder for romantic comedies, but director mcg (charlie's angels terminator salvation) has take thing to a heightened level with "this means war", the story of two cia agents who fall for the same woman. crhis paine plays fdr foster and tom hard plays tuck, two spies who are also best friends until they start dating an executive named lauren (reese witherspoon) when the men discover they're pursuing the same woman, they make a gentlemen's agreement, promising not to reveal that they know each other and to let lauren choose between them. it's not long before both men are using cia resources to spy on one another and sabotage each others dates. pine and hardy have good chemistry with each other and more importantly with witherspoon. because of this its easy to get sucked in even though the plotting is about as basic as it gets. mcg's films have been hit and miss, but "this means war" is one of his best efforts. this film is consistently funny and thanks to the espionage backdrop has generous helpings of action. that means ladies who have a hard time selling their significant others on romantic comedies can successfully argue that this isn't just another chick flick.

I can see why they call it War; it's a battle of wits to see who ends up with Reese.

I love this movie, it is so funny in just the right places. Chris has always been a ham; and I've known him since he was 12. We've been great friends since then!

Forgetable movie.

It has its funnt moments. The movie is a mix of romantic and humor. It doesn't have a big plot so don't expect much excitement. Is for sure a forgetable movie. It could have been way more. :(
