A Review From The Kitten

First I would like to say I love this CD. Now lets get down to business. This CD rocks. Thats all......I"m just kidding. Okay now really.

Gerard and Mikey Way grew up in New Jersey so they could not really go out that much to play. They had to be home at a certen time. So as they grew up they would love horror movies cause thats all they really had when they were home and thats what Jersey was, a horror movie. So they had a vistion of a bride and groom. But the bride died and so the groom kills himself to be with his love. So the devil and the groom make a deal. If the groom brings him 1,000 evil souls then the devil will give the groom back his bride and they will live happiely ever after. So the groom agrees and so the devil hands him a gun. So the groom brings the devil 1,000 evil souls. And basicly keeps all the souls and the bride and groom.

Thats what the CD is really based off. I know...I know alot. HAHAHAHA. But anyways....one of the very first songs thats on the CD is called Helena. Helena is a song about Gerard and Mikey's grandmother that died during the making of this CD. And her realy name is Elena. And the 5th song is called I"m Not Okay (I Promise). I'ts about a girl that Gerard had a crush on in High School. Now he was on the crubby side so he could not get anyone that easy and he also was a nerd. So the girl did alot of really mean things to poor Gerard. So thats what the song is and it's shows her what he has become....A FAMOUS TEEN IDOL AND HOTTY!!! Oh there I go agian talking about how hot he is. HEHEHEHE....my bad.

So anyways this is a really good CD. Personally my favorite. So ya you should buy it on eBay. Well if you like rock/punk. Thanks For reading!

My Chemical Romance: You Score A Zillion Cheers

This album is beyond impressive!!! Gerard Way's voice is so gorgeous that he could do any style of music! I love the theatrical flavour that MCR shows us!!
I get so excited when I listen to this cd! Ray Toro is such a guitar king!!!
He is royalty when it comes to his playing. And Frank Iero, is a hero!!! He uses so much energy and emotion that God Himself smiles!! That brings us to Mikey Way. This guy's a bass playing superstar!!! He's so gifted, he plays like someone who's been playing since he was a baby. In addition, the drummer Matt Pelissier did a grand job (even though he was later replaced at some juncture of the world tour). I love My Chemical Romance and I find them inspirational. They prove hard work and determination can gain you many of your goals. I think they make a wonderful team and they work well together writing these songs and putting their emotions out their to the listeners. As always, they score an infinite number of cheers from me!!!!!!

Three Cheers For My Chemical Romance

Although this is actually the second CD offered by My Chemical Romance many believe it to be their first. The first CD "I Brought You My Bullets You Brought Me Your Love" was released on a small label and therefore not as well known. "Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge" is an outstanding CD. The first time you listen to it you will understand why this group is so loved by their fans. Simply put the songs ROCK. Tunes like "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)" stick in your head refusing to leave. The song "Helena" written for the late grandmother of Gerard and Mikey Way is hauntingly beautiful. "Ghost of You" offers the same deep emotion. Gerard Way has a voice that can scream obscenities at you one moment then caress you the next. The mix of hard pumping rock and deep felt emotional tunes is perfect. Also listen for Bert McCracken of "The Used" on the tune "You Know What They Do To Guys Like Us In Prison" Even the artwork on this CD is special. It was done by Gerard Way a very talented artist. This is truly an excellent CD.Read full review...

Gravely Misunderstood and Grotesquely Underrated

It has long been my understanding that My Chemical Romance is one of the greatest bands of its day--which, thankfully, is still occurring. A lot of people are under the misapprehension that their music and, indeed, all aspects of the band are geared toward a younger crowd--in, say, the 12-18 age range. Speaking as a woman of twenty-eight years, I can safely say that I've outgrown the tendency to be a 'fangirl' for every pretty face that I see on MTV.

There are so many wonderful things about this band that continue to shock me into a state of awe. They're truly wonderful role models for anyone who listens to them. They love their fans. They put out positive messages--at least, once they found themselves, they did. That brings me to what's fantastic about this particular album.

This album, as stated by Gerard Way himself, was My Chem finding themselves. Their first album--I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love--was quite a bit rougher than their two subsequent albums. With each passing, they seem to be refining themselves and polishing a sound that's quite uniquely their own. This is evidenced by many hours of listening to all three albums (including the CD included with Life on the Murder Scene, their DVD package that details their tour just as they came out with this particular album).

If you listen closely, you can hear the musical progression from album to album. While Bullets is a harsher album, you can still hear the inklings of what the band would grow to become in their following albums. That, I think, is a beautiful realization and wonderful to experience. So, when listening to this album, knowing that this music is the result of My Chem finding a groove--a path on which to walk, musically...is a truly special thing and the music is fantastic.

Is it hard to believe that this is my favorite band? -grin-

Long live rock

A great effort in a genre that is getting grossly overlooked by the entertainment media. This is American culture at its best in that MCR employs established rock riffs that have been intelligently re-thought accompanied by hard hitting yet somehow deceivingly intelligent lyrics. This CD is a must for anyone exploring the effect that bands such as Pink Floyd, Queen, Bowie, The Beatles have had upon a new generation. If you have experienced a dearth of contemporary music that satifies, try this. After consuming, immediately acquire "The Black Parade" and see where this auspicious start has lead to.

Great CD. Came in alright condition for used.

The front of the jewel case had few cracks, most likely from shipping or regular wear, Nothing too big a problem or unfixable as simply replacing the front part of the jewel case gets the job done. Would recommend.Read full review...

Thank You For The Venom

There’s always that one emo-group that steals everyone’s hearts with their crying music, amazing lyrics, and daring sound beats. This is the group of 2005-2006.

My Chemical Romance has definitely taken a turn for the better with this CD, seeing as it is their second one to date, the first one with good lyrics, but not to great beats. This CD makes up for all of it, and will have you singing along to the easy lyrics.

So, if you’ve heard the radio, and you liked their most frequent played song ‘Helena’, then buy the CD. You’re money will go for something good.

Songs for a Generation.

Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, the kickoff album for ex-rockers My Chemical Romance, was the start of a new generation, a generation reaching their teenage years. This album, released in 2004, brought a tremendous amount of energy into the rock scene. This album in particular, not sparing any time in kicking up dust and producing energy, blasts forward with the opening song, Helena, and punches your ears until the very end, save one short interlude. The very best of My Chemical Romance from a universal standpoint, this album defined much of modern concept rock. The perfect example of My Chemical Romance's expertise in what they used to do for a living; memorable music.Read full review...

A few good songs

Songs: I'm not okay, Helena, and To The End. Those were a few favorite songs on this disc. Explicit material is kept to a low degree, which I enjoyed. Catchy songs, easy to remember lyrics. Good to add to a workout playlist.Read full review...

GREAT CD BY AN AWESOME BAND!

Probably the best band of all time! This is the second CD by MCR so the style of their music has changed a bit, but still definitely MCRs music. This is one of the greatest albums I've ever heard. Their music speaks to the listener on a level that other bands can't even comprehend. The band itself has such a positive message and love or their fans that can't help but be revealed in their music. Th vocals by Gerard are amazing and the music by the rest of the band is so inspiring. GREAT CD! And contrary to popular belief, their music is not just for teenagers. It does speak to young people in a way that is very inspiring and positive which is what first interested me in this band. My daughter was really in love with them so I thought I would see what they were like. I found out that they are not only great musicians, but positive role models for teenagers who are going through a really hard time. They helped my daughter so much that I could not help being grateful. Now I am just as much of a fan as she is and I'm 39 years old. I definitely reccoment this CD.Read full review...
