Advanced Warfighting

To be straight to the point, this is a very fun game.

This tactical shooter is the natural progression of what we saw in the Ghost Recon series releases from 2006 and 2007. It brings in new element such as adaptive cloaking camouflage and x-ray enabled goggles to see enemies though objects.

Solid gameplay mechanics allow for straight up firefights with opposing forces, but where the game truly shines is where the player can clear hostile areas without ever being detected by employing drones, close quarters stealth, and synchronous squad takedown commands. Many areas of the game play out sort of like a puzzle and challenge your stealthy tactics.

Graphically, this title holds up very well for what is now a four year old release. Many environments have a very high level of detail. This coupled with a good amount of onscreen action can be very easy on the eyes.

For as good as the campaign is, unfortunately, the competitive online is a little on the vacant side. Four years after the release of most games this will be the case. I was only able to find matches in one of the five competitive modes. It was fun for a little while, but many matches seemed a bit to unbalanced to hold my interest.

There is also a fun little cooperative mode that can be played on or offline that has you fighting waves of enemies. You'll have to have friends with the same game though, as there is no matchmaking for that mode or the campaign - which has a full co-op mode as well.

For the price that you'll find this game here on eBay, the hefty twelve mission campaign alone is worth your time and I thoroughly recommend it.Read full review...

Great game, worth the purchase! Give it a try!

I have not played the campaign or story mode because I usually never do on games these days. It's very short on campaign but more focused on the multiplayer aspect of it. I can say that the multiplayer on this game was a unique experience, unlike the fast paced, run and gun Call of Duty franchise that has the same releases every year. This one, you'd be glad you tried it out. It stands out to me more than any other game, with the exception of Battlefield 2, but the mechanics of the entire game was brilliant in its design. Its completely based on teamwork, tactical and objective game where it is third person shooter and you have to take extra precautions in taking cover in case you might get shot. Amazing find for $28, brand new. I would recommend it to anyone that enjoyed battlefield, though this is nowhere near like battlefield. It has a lot to offer in terms of the level upgrades and what you can unlock, it can feel very rewarding.

Your KDR (kill death ratio) does not matter in this game. You should help out your teammates to go after or to defend the objectives, that's the main importance of the multiplayer here.

This game is a stunning achievement!

This game is a great gift from Ubisoft onto our frail planet. I have been disappointed with potential lost on some of the games in this series, but this one doesn't let up. To begin the story mode is a lot of fun for a shooter with an interesting plot, but the main enjoyment I got out of this game was in the multi-player, now I thought the fact that snipers were invisible was going to be very annoying and they would rank the highest among k/d ratios due to the fact that no one can see them, I was mistaken, snipers are pretty easily spotted when invisible and make themselves a bit of a challenge to find but not to bad. The main reason for the amazing rating that I am giving this game is the aspect of run gun run gun is not apparent. I am so tired of just shooting till my finger aches. This game is very startigic you can run out and try to kill everyone but you will not succeed. You have to plot out your best course of action based on what your teammates are doing and where the enemy players are. This game is a great strategy shooter? Good Story line and Great Game play!

Good Storyline and Great Game play! Enjoyed the missions and the flexibility on using my own ideas to accomplish them. The ability to choose and design your own gun is a plus. If the mission calls for stealth go with small and suppressed but if you want some action go with big and loud.
