Decent, better than Last Revelation.

The game charter's the on-going Werner Von Croy Drama from the Last Revelation predecessor. The controls are more friendly on the Sega Dreamcast Version, but Playstation's handle is decent.

4 worlds, Including a whole world dedicated to teenage Laura - which personally, I think blows. I hated not having my guns and just running and jumping looking for the conveniently placed crawl space to progress onwards, while the annoying Imps critters ate me alive without a defense from Laura.

The last world was also a lil disappointing, I wasn't really interested in raiding office spaces, but it completes the game, none the less.

All 4 worlds have their own mission, as opposed to the solid-base mission style of the previous 4 installments. The story line is held together by thread: Laura is assumed dead (hence - Last Revelation) and her friends morn the loss and recall the many adventures she had.

Fun game to play!

Tomb Raider Chronicles is a great game to own. It is my favorite Tomb Raider game and I own the entire series. This game has 13 levels, 3 of which we play using Lara at 16. This game introduces new moves and inventory, such as the tightrope walk and the headset, as well as the grappling gun. The only problem, is that many players encounter BUGS during the last level that may prevent you from finishing the game. For GREAT information on how to play TR Chronicles, such as walkthroughs, hints, cheats, fixing bugs, every pickup, visit www.tombraiders.net. Stella has saved me sooooo much time! It is the best TR website out there! Check it out! It is sure to help you with this great game as well as every other TR game!Read full review...

Tomb Raider Chronicles (PC Games, 2000)

Tomb Raider Chronicles is a worthy enough "sequel" to the original and can deliver an adequate number of thrills, though nothing unique or surprising.

Five years ago, when most games were making their first tentative steps into the third dimension, the fully 3D worlds of the original Tomb Raider and Super Mario 64 were a revelation. Since then, the fact that we've seen four new editions to the Tomb Raider line - each with the sort of incremental upgrades customarily found in sports game series like EA's Madden and Sony's GameDay - in a such short time has ultimately robbed the property of any sort of excitement.
Still, you can't help but believe that there are tens of thousands of game players out there just waiting for word that it's all clear - it's safe to come back to the Tomb Raider series, it's as fun as it was before. And the truth is that there actually is some glimmer of that original shine to be found here. Even if the gameplay in Tomb Raider Chronicles is essentially the same as that of Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation and the others, the game is solidly made, and many of the rough edges found in the series' earlier incarnations (problematic camera angles, touchy control, and so on) have been smoothed.
The premise of this year's model is that our heroine, Lara Croft, is missing and presumably dead, but that doesn't stop her from appearing in flashback form. After her memorial service, several of her friends gather at Croft Manor to recount tales of her adventures, which you then play. One episode places her in Rome; another on a Russian nuclear submarine, hunting for the fabled spear of destiny; another in the moors of Ireland; and another still in a fight against the storyteller himself.
While Ms. Croft can still be found running, jumping, climbing, and shooting exotic animals, the game's puzzles have moved away from shoving blocks around and closer to using stealth. This stealth element is nowhere nearly as developed as it is in games like Konami's Metal Gear Solid or Activision's Tenchu, though. For instance, in one case, Lara has to quietly walk up behind an enemy, choose a crowbar out of her inventory, and brain him. As such, it's not very gripping and could have been far more developed, but it ends up as a nice minor break from the norm at the very least. The mainstays of the series - puzzles in which you need to perform a series of complex jumps, climbs, and long distance runs in a short period of time - are its real focus, and elements such as tightrope walking and target shooting have been thrown in for good measure.A big part of the Tomb Raider fans' disillusionment with the series is its incredibly tough difficulty level. Stages in the games often contain sections that go beyond being challenging and present trials that are so hard that once you accomplish them, they provide you with a feeling of relief that you'll never have to go through them again. Tomb Raider Chronicles, though, is a little less difficult than previous games in the line, making it one of the more playable Tomb Raiders in years. It's still an evilly tough game that will require regular peeks at a walk-through, but you won't need to sit with the guide on your lap this time. (Audio cues that chime in with hints when you dally in an area too long would make the series much more appealing to mainstream audiences againhowever, Tomb Raider Chro

a must have! beyond excellent

I love Tomb Raider! I love it so much that I own multiple copies of each game and the sequels in case one goes bad or gets broken. I have been playing them since I was 11 and probably will enjoy some good plays in the years to come. The Last Revelation and Tomb Raider II are my favorites! But they are all amazing games, whether you get I, III, Angel of Darkness, or Legend. I believe Anniversary is the remake of the first game, just new and improved graphics and game-play. I've yet to buy the newest one which is Underworld. The story lines are very unique. As for Chronicles, I have not played it yet. I just bought it and never new it existed until recently. But I know I will enjoy it because I haven't been let down yet. The other Tomb Raiders' graphics are amazing for the time they were made. If you like puzzles, strategy, action and adventure, these are the games for you! Heck, there are even some scary parts, but not too frightening. I wouldn't call it horror, just a bit eerie and on your tip-toes when its time to fight certain creatures and bosses. I always had fun exploring her mansion. The Tomb Raider games were creatively made and are fun to play.Read full review...

Tomb Raider Chronicles

What can one say?..........I'm in awe! Dubroz Stunning graphics, brilliant game strategy, hot D-cup cartoon chick in blazing gonzo attack mode. Aloof, indifferent, anti-social, in other words, a sexy sociopath with anger and Daddy problems all wrapped up in a candy-wrapped nugget of a video game. If there is any criticism, I certainly expected Lara to have a Mike Tyson-like tattoo on the left side of her face. But, who knows, maybe it's elsewhere, and we just haven't found it,....none-the-less,...small beans,....Now why else would I buy this game? Inclusively, the game was cheap, in great shape and very playable. So all in all this customer is waxing thrills.Read full review...

Great game, good value

It's a great game, old but still really exiting, I used to play it a long time ago and thought about playing it again, could be a little bit hard and frustrating but it's not a bad feeling when u make it out of a 1 or 2 days puzzle.Read full review...
