Premier PS2 skateboarding franchise, loads of entertainment, fun for two.

Originally played this game for PS2 in 2002. It's as fun as I remember. This was the first I played in the THPS franchise, and it's great fun. Probably a good intro for the latter installments of the franchise (THPS4, THUG, THAW, P8, THPG, etc). Interesting and cool air tricks, inventive grinds, interactive levels, customizable skaters and equipment. 2 player tag mode is a great way to go head-to-head with a fellow THPS enthusiast, or get them interested in the franchise. The soundtrack is awesome, some rock, punk, rap, and other generally hardcore music. So far, I've been nothing but impressed with the franchise, and can't wait to see how they've changed things for THPS4. This is the premier skateboarding game, and even with PS4's release looming, PS2 and THPS remains an incredibly fun way to waste a few hours now and then.Read full review...

This game is nostalgia for me. Super fun gameplay with an amazing soundtrack; grinding rails to "Paparazzi", "Ace of Spades" or "if you Must"- is a blast. This game brings me back to a time before online, when everyone would get together and play against eachother split screen.
