Turning Point: Fall Of Liberty Xbox 360

After playing this game, I like the story and idea that was used in this game. If you can get the game for a cheap price it does have its moments where it is fun. My only complaint about the game is that the shooting aspect of the game is weak. Unless you are medium to close range, you do not feel like the weapon your character has works. You can see the enemy AI from a distance, shoot and nothing happens. To me, I do believe the game could have been better and that it was rushed (glitches). Overall, average game at best, but as long as you do not put the game on the level of your elite first person shooters, this game it is a game that anybody should breeze through.Read full review...

Turning Point: Fall of Liberty

Turning Point: Fall of Liberty is inconsistent if I had to use one word. At first, it doesn't seem too bad, but there are parts that are terrible, parts that are confusing and parts that make you want to throw the controller at the TV.

In the game, you play Dan, a construction worker who happens to have a mastery of WWII weapons. Go figure. Didn't realize that was part of the construction training, but I guess that's why I'm not in the field. Dan lives in New York which is being invaded by the Nazis after Churchill dies and cannot rally the forces. Within the first minute of the game, I had so many questions. Why are the Nazis invading America? With the amount of money and troops it cost to take over Europe, would they really be able to afford invading America? What about Russia? I hear they were doing pretty good against Germany. Did Churchill inspire them as well?

Well, the game decides not to answer these ever, so I'll ignore them. I don't want to give away any of the story, but let me just say that the plot has so many holes, and they're big enough to fly an oversized war blimp through them. The controls aren't terrible, but they take some getting used to. LB is run. A button jumps and grabs on to poles. It also drops from poles. If you want to climb up onto a ledge, it's A. So what if you want to climb up from a pole onto a ledge? The game lets you figure that out for yourself. (It's B.)

A mild annoyance is the fact that to see your objective, you have to press Start. There is no other way of knowing. It never says anywhere on the screen. In the top right corner, it will say "Objective added," so if you like pausing the game every 3 minutes to see your new objective, this games for you.

The AI is dumb. Really dumb. There is this one part where you are picking off snipers. You can be mostly exposed and they will not shoot you. It's like they are waiting for an invitation to start shooting you. Their spawns are also dumb. I got to this room and cleared it out. I then began to cross a bridge and a couple of enemies decided to appear behind me and I found myself surrounded.

Overall, Turning Point: Fall of Liberty is a short game that in the end makes me happier when I turn it off than when I am actually playing it.

Hunting Huns!

Even though the initial write-up from the folks who developed it was intruiging, the hard core shooter enthusiasts are remiss in lending praise to poking holes in German Engineering. We begin in New York, but end by wiping up the Nazi threat across the Globe. Some folks just don't have the patience the Greatest Generation had. Decide for yourself.Read full review...

Garbage FPS, but slightly fun.

Turning Point Fall of Liberty isn’t the worst FPS I’ve played but it’s down near the bottom of the list.

This game had loads of potential; it could’ve been on par with return to castle Wolfenstein with (a lot) more work, but:

The story is vague and virtually non-existent, dialog and voice acting are bottom of the barrel.

Character development and back-story are non-existent the only thing you learn about the main character is his name.

Enemy AI is brain dead at best.

The weapon selection is on the smallish side but decent some imagination went into it (though not much).

Checkpoints are too far apart, making you have to replay too much when you die.

This game is extremely short only about 5 or 6 hours long.

The “down the gun” aiming is implemented very poorly so that you can hardly see the enemies when aiming at them.

There is no gradient for moving, meaning you only go one speed no matter how much or little you move the analog stick.

The game could’ve been so much more, but it's garbage. :(

I’d give this game a 1.5 out of 5, because I did have fun with it; but you only get to pick whole numbers. lol

For the $ and the Idea...WHY NOT?

I love and like war style games, exspecially first person shooters! EVEN BETTER its in NY where I am from! It takes all over the US till the very end in Washington DC. I bought this game after a while it came out due to the fact I didn't feel it was worth the $60 when it first came out. So now that it was at a reasonable price I bought it. I am also a achievement "whore" and this one is very easy. Just wish people still played online! Movie does make ya think...WHAT IF we never stepped in? I am a history buff and Germany had superior technology that would have defently decimated Europe if we did not step in. They built a Long Range Bomber which the B-2 Takes after and a STG-44 which the AK-47 takes after. The infamous Tiger Tank with Slope Armor etc etc...

Graphics ARE GOOD ENOUGH!

its fun and will be a good time killer

This game is something else. It takes place in ww2. The setting is that hittler send his boys to the U.S. to bring the fight to us u. Your carcter is a Guy working on a high rise when the German plans come over head as u fight ur way though the game u will find some places where u will need to think on ur toes. The only thing I don't like about this game is when u die u have to restart at a check point and some times u just went though hell to get killed and do it all over again. That is why I give this game a overall rating 3 starsRead full review...

Good FSP game...not a CoD replacement!

I purchased this game due to the storyline without any further research. IF I hadn't been playing Call of Duty 3 (X360) for the past year, I would be very impressed. The story unfolds well & lends itself easily to you feeling your way through the game story, but, the graphics are not up to par with CoD. I guess I'm spoiled. The bad guys are easy to kill for the most part & substitute difficult kills with large waves of targets to pick off.
I am yet to try out the online play. Still playing the game on breaks from CoD and enjoying it. If you can get it cheap (on eBay) like I did, jump on it & get to shooting...

WORST GAME EVER REALEASED

This is a pathetic excuse for a video game. I know people over use comparisons to first generation console games when describing various titles and the term is way over used, BUT IT APPLIES TO THIS "GAME".
Stay away from Turning Point, it is a waste of money no matter what price you pay.
The controls are clunky and sometimes don't work at all. The character graphics are first generation quality. Turning Point is an attempted game and is broken on so many levels it is difficult to explain. You must experience this abortion to appreciate the incompetence used to create it, but please let me spare you the misery......... STAY AWAY!

f u r looking for quality in your games pass this one up.

i so wanted this game to be good. i like the game but i dont really suggest it unless you love WW2 games and dont mind some major problems with a game. if u r looking for quality in every game pass this one up. there is some things i like about the game. u can grab your enemy and use as a human shield and going into 3rd person when going up and down ladders is cool. but what makes me play this game is the story plot. germany invades American soil in NY city.Read full review...
