Old Standard

I prefer this book in hardcover although it is the same content in paperback. If you use them, they get a lot of wear and tear. This one was in beautiful shape and I appreciate having it.

Twelve steps and twelve traditions

The product itself is exactly what I wanted however the outside appearance is NOT what was portrayed in the picture or in the details. The book didn't have an outside cover which is important to me as it shows the title while also making it look more attractive.Read full review...

Title should say Alcoholics Anonymous 12 Steps & 12 etc

A co-founder of A.A. explains the Steps and Traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous. The suggestions as outlined in these 12 steps are a guide to successful sober living one day at a time without drinking. This book was written about 50 years ago and is a reflection of the late 30's, 40's and early 50's recovery experience. This book needs an update - basic suggestions are still quite valid, however, some phrases and wording is out-of-date, eg. Iron Lung. Short version is to clean house, trust God, and help others.
If in doubt, the reader can't go wrong using this book as originally intended.

A great study guide for anyone!

This book along with the "Big Book" of Alcoholics Anonymous is the heart of A.A. With the support of the fellowship that takes place there the dynamics for recovery are complete.
If you are an alcoholic, family of or an alcoholism Counselor/Instructor you would do well to study this book.
Interestingly almost anyone might improve the quality of their lives by learning the precepts of this book. It can change the way you view life!

The book everyone in America should have!

I love this book because it is so soul-searching and has such inspirational information/stories in it. It encourages you to make changes in your life so you will be more fulfilled...which makes the lives of those around you more fulfilled also. I bought this book for my therapist to have in her office since she was the one who encouraged me to attend group therapy and then depression anonymous! You won't be disappointed!!Read full review...
