It's the very best of all CDs with music from THE SEEKERS, get this one!

This really is the very best of all The Seekers music CDs—and it’s also the first time that the compilation of recordings was selected by The Seekers themselves rather than being selected by a music publishing company. I also have the different “Ultimate Collection” which is a 2-CD set, and that one is good but this one is most deserving of “The Ultimate Collection” title. For comparison I also have many other CDs with music of The Seekers. This song collection is the best, and the sounds from this particular CD are remarkable. The sound is stronger and plays more clearly than with other CDs. Every vocal and instrumental sound is played perfectly, in fact distinctively better than with any other music CDs I have played on several different and good sound systems. Their original famous songs from the 1960's years have never sounded more perfect than they do on this CD. I can't say enough good things about the wonderful sound quality on this CD because regardless of the recording artist or finished production I have never heard better sound quality from any other music CD.
I'm a fan of The Seekers for their music and also because they are each wonderful people, but I'm not the only person who would consider The Seekers to be among the best of all musical groups from the 1960's period. I can add that “their music from the 1990's years is even better yet and this CD provides a great example with the song Far Shore!” The song titled Far Shore on this CD is absolutely the very best song and best recording of what I would consider to be “modern, digitally recorded and professionally mixed pop music.” It's rich with musical sound. Far Shore contains very professional instrumental sounds from session musicians mixed in with original sounds from The Seekers, and with vocals only from The Seekers—and the result is superb! Judith Durham has never sounded better or stronger or more pleasing to the ear than in this recording of Far Shore, and as always the harmony vocals and instrumental sounds contributed by Athol, Keith and Bruce in Far Shore are spot-on, perfect! (I would gladly buy this CD just to get this one song—although I equally enjoy the many other great songs on this CD.)
About Massachusetts; at first I wondered why The Seekers recorded this song (it's also on this CD). The Bee Gees wrote it and recorded it and made it popular, but I never cared for this song until I heard this new recording by The Seekers. The song instantly sounded as if the Bee Gees had written it for The Seekers to perform--and as the booklet with this CD tells the Bee Gees actually did write it and submit it to The Seekers! (It’s too bad that The Seekers’ manager in the 1960's rejected it--and so the Bee Gees recorded it themselves. But it seems that everything worked out just fine. Ha!) The booklet in this CD case also contains very good photos of the group and other interesting information.
I also have the excellent and now-collectable, out-of-print, Future Road music CD from 1997 year, and other newer great recordings too, and as mentioned above I also have many of their 1960's collections on music CDs. But if I could have only one CD with music from The seekers then this would be my choice. I hope that this music CD remains available forever so that many more people can find and enjoy this music. Judith Durham's voice is priceless

Judith Durham's voice is priceless and the harmonies are great. It's nice to hear a very good variety of their songs, most not well not known in the U.S.beyond their pop hits. "I Am Australian" is fantastic as well as "The Bush Girl" and their cover of "Massachusetts".Read full review...
