Best old school MK

It's better than regular MK3 because there are more characters. It's also the source of inspiration for MK Armageddon and MK9, which are the best modern versions.

Best cartrage fighting game ever

Back in the day when this came out, not everyone had a 64 yet, I know i didn't, and whenMortal Kombat Trilogy came out, SNES owners needed there own treat. Ultimate mortal kombat 3 really was the Ultimate fighting game of it's time. the sheer number of characters made the gamepl;ay more fun tyhan any previous MK title. The difficulty was up there with the arcade but a slew of codes and special modes opened the game up wide for anyone. The multi-player function was way beyond MK3 which looks like MK2 by comparison.

The only thing i really missed in this game was Shiva, though she does show up as a secret character without a sprite (invisible). The bringing back of so many old characters which used similar sprites to each other to really pump the number of fighters was brilliant. The moves and coulours and character bios set them all apart quite sufficiently even though the robots looked identicle, as did the ninjas, but it really did add to the gameplay. Some of the characters introduced in this game are among my favourites and still apear in Mortal kombat games. After this game and MK Trilogy MK went adventure/action, and then 3-D with MK4 and up. UMK3 really was the pinicle of MK 2-D games. Trilogy was just a bonus

This IS The ULTIMATE Fighting Game!

The ultimate fighting game. Classic characters, classic gameplay, and classic combos. You can't go wrong with Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. It has the most of characters out of any Mortal Kombat title for the Super Nintendo, feature fighters that weren't available in the original Mortal Kombat 3 release, such as Noob Saibot, Ermac, Mileena, and Rain.Read full review...

Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3

Some of the good things about this game include the very useful "run" or "sprint" ability, which lets you charge your opponent, combos which you pretty much have to figure out by button-mashing, multi-layered levels which you can uppercut through to the higher level, an enormous cast of characters, including several hidden characters, and a wide variety of skill levels and combat paths for single player.
However, the game is incredibly hard to master if you've never played any Mortal Kombat games before, especially regular Mortal Kombat 3. This game will take days, even weeks of practice and frustrating defeats to be able to cruise through the game easily to defeat the final boss [Shao Kahn, mini-bossed by Motaro].
This game is a must-have for collectors and Mortal Kombat fans, but I wouldn't recommend it for children and people with self esteem issues.

This is what it says...

This is the ULTIMATE figting game. UMK3 delivered. Better graphics, new characters and so much more. The Mercy, Animality, Brutality, Babality, and of course, Fatality are all here. You can now combo moves to each other doing massive damage. The Fatalaties look so much better then MKII as well. Sheeva, Cyrax, (playable) Smoke and Jade, Sektor, Kabal, and Ermac are some newcomers to the series and live up to their performance well. Be aware this game is more diffecult (even on Novice) then the original MK3. Especially the Endurance Matches and Motaro. You should get this game on Xbox Live Arcade if you don't have an SNES or are out of quarters.Read full review...

Mortal Kombat 3 improved!

This is more like a 2.0 version of Mortal Kombat 3, new stages, new characters, new fatalities and the new brutalities for some fighters makes this a really nice Mortal Kombat, the new 8-man tournament mode and 2 on 2 Endurance are also very good, but there's a flaw and it's the fact that they took off animalities, I just loved animalities, I really like brutalities but animalities were so cool that I miss it very much, except that, if you liked Mortal Kombat 3, you'll sure like this one!Read full review...

This game is excellent... a great game to buy!

I am a MK fan and have mostly all of them. I love MK and this MK is one of the ones that I haven't played in years and I'm so glad that someone was nice enough to put one on here. This game is an excellent game for retro gamers and MK fans everywhere. This game is so fun to play time to time and will keep you with hours of play. It's a bit of a challenge too.Read full review...

I had no clue that Ultimate MK3 existed. It's even better than MK3. I got it for a great price and it seems to get more fun everytime that I play it. The game was in great condition when it arrived and works like a charm.Read full review...
