Fairly close to my original, great for the price.

Not bad at all, especially for the price. I have an authentic M-3 Camillus with the original sheath. The biggest difference is the hanger and keeper strap is nylon (can be toughened with hi-heat Krylon) as opposed to the original canvas without metal tips. The blade is of decent quality and same size not -quite- as thick, the bayonet shape end is not sharpened on top like my original, which has been mine from issue and I do not recall re-grinding. The handle is stacked leather grommets, the finish could use some work as it is very hard and shiny, tougher to grip, I knocked off some of the lacquer coating with scotchbrite and the grip was good. The sheath itself has gotten some grumbles from others but the throat is well-fitted decent metal and the sheath material tough enough. The guard is a little loose, which can be adjusted with some elbow grease. I really like/prefer the overall design of the M-3 and for 1/10th of the price I can have one that is functional without further abusing my old original friend. A good value and, with some touch-up, an excellent knife. Read full review...

Cheap but adequate

It has a really nasty head ache inducing smell. Maybe it’s the lacquer or the treatment of the nylon on the sheath. Or both. It’s a real shame to have to leave this thing outside for a while to air out. The grind on the blade is a bit wavy and uncentered. The blade is too thick behind the edge. I can grip my palm really hard around the blade and it doesn’t feel sharp at all. The handle needs to be sanded and oiled. I like the sheath for what it is. It feels sturdy enough. At a glance it’s an okay reproduction. The blade is going to require a bit of work. But for the price, it’s a keeper. If you have a bigger budget, theres better options. But you can save some cash if you can accept imperfections. I could really do without the noxious smell though. Overall, it’s about what I expected for being the cheapest M3 repro.Read full review...

Knife seems of decent quality.

For a Chinese copy the knife itself seems to be of decent quality and the blade took a sharp edge. I had to sand down the leather grip and apply neatsfoot oil several times and I will finish off the grip with linseed oil. The sheath is cheaply made but adequate. I will look to replace it if I come across a bargain on an M8 sheath but until then it's fine. Overall, the quality of the knife is okay but the sheath is flimsy. Don't expect more.Read full review...

Excellent value, fair authenticity.

The knife is a very accurate replica of the M3 knife, the only weakness is the scabbard. It's great that they made the scabbard, rather than a cheap leather sheath, but the exterior is extremely shiny. A few minutes work with low-pressure glass beading cured that to a perfect satin finish, but the webbing used was nylon, while the original was woven cotton. It would probably cost less to use cotton, and collectors would love the accuracy of such a replica.Read full review...

China Trench Knife

Pretty good quality. Guard is a little loose but once you get some leather treatment on the handle it tightens back up. I sanded the lacquer off mine and then soaked it in boiled linseed oil. The blade coating looks like real Parkerizing. The sheath is too light of a green so it's getting repainted. Fits in a GI issue sheath nice.Read full review...

Perfect for what it is!

This is a GREAT knife! This hunk of steel and leather is super sharp, feels amazing in the hand, is balanced like an acrobat, and assembled like a tank. The sheath is sturdier than ones I’ve had from much more expensive knives. The stacked leather handle grabs your hand and won’t let go. The pommel will drive nails or tent spikes. The hand guard is accurately shaped and protects the hand from slippage. The blade easily takes and maintains an edge on both the full and quarter-length sides. The point is sharp and the knife is well-balanced enough that it takes very little practice to get good at sticking it into whatever you throw it at. Finally, while this isn’t a museum-quality replica by any means, the look and feel of this knife are similar enough to the M3 that you will not be disappointed in your purchase. In short, if you’re looking for a great M3-style knife at a reasonable price that you can use and abuse and above all enjoy, then this is the knife for you! Read full review...

Exactly what it is designed for

I bought this knife to fill a spot on my military style pistol belt, in the same location where one may expect to find a bayonet.
This knife isn't "pretty" and is not heirloom material, not something to be handed down from generation to generation.
On the other hand, the stacked leather handle matches the handle on my Air Force Survival Knife that is located elsewhere on my personal LBE (Load Bearing Equipment).
I believe this is the perfect addition to my personal survival equipment, and fills a niche previously unfilled.
I'm happy with this purchase and may purchase others for family members.

Great for a look-alike M-3

It depends on the quality you are looking for. It is a serviceable blade for cutting hay bale twine, it's a good look-a-like for display but, I wouldn't stake my life on it.

Really nice repo of the M3 trench knife. I thought the clear coat on the stacked leather handle was too shiny so I took some steel wool to it and now

Suprisingly good

Bought it with low expectations..its the cheapest out there afterall.
When I received it, the handles were rather dull and the guard was shaky, but it sorta solved itself after a few hours when the leather expanded in normal air.

Pommel and guard were all steel.
Overall a very good repro for the price
