Review Uniforms of the IJA
The book does a very through analysis of WW2 Japanese uniforms. A useful uniform collectors guide. I would very much like to see a volume 2 going into the same amount of detail regarding primary equipment. Equipment-wise I found the photos and text oddly separated, and felt more like I was viewing a private collection than through presentation. A few translations here and there would have been nice as well.
Take the dog tags on page 269 for example: were both of the tags shown issued to the same soldier? How were they worn (chain, swen-in, tied on)? Where were they normally worn (neck, ankle)? What do these tags say? I have heard they were also made of steel, even bamboo, please show examples.
Over all a very good start to what I hope will become a series, and an excellent uniform guide.Read full review...

Great book. Quality reference material.
Well packaged. They have great reference books. I look forward to dealing in the future. I was looking for a good book to identify my military collection. This has been a great help. Having a detailed illustrations streamlines the identification process.Read full review...
