Hylomar Universal Blue Gasket Sealant was ineffective.
Product came out of tube in clumps. Did not spread evenly when applied to the bottom of cylinder liners. After installing the cylinder liners, and waiting several days, when I turned over the upper case of the motor, to install the crankshaft, the liners fell out. This sealer provided absolutely no adhesion.
Note that the cylinder liners and the seats were thoroughly cleaned of any oil and previous sealant prior to assembly.

successful seal of snowblower auger gear box
have only had the one use for it so far but it provided good seal to a 30+ year old snowblower auger gear box. i can see that it will likely work well in future uses. may try on a problematic valve cover gasket that i cant get to seal 100%. Read full review...
