Close but no cigar

Great idea, nice quality, great price...but the clumping litter that we need to use for two cats sticks in the holes and plugs them up making it more work than not. use newspapers spreaded out to clean mess

you cannot dump the mess in a regular size bag or trash can, you'll need to spread out something size like newspaper to hold all the messes when they come out cos they spill and scatter around. broom 'em clean and dump in the newspaper altogether then trash it in regular size plastic bag. that's how i deal with it.

btw the grate does stick with messes, therefore i remove it to save my dirt job, instead i place the newspapers(again!!) all around to collect spilled litter without grate, of course i broom clean spilled litter around as well.

i brought 3 for my 2 cats, since it costs much less in ' big lot' ( little more than 10 bucks, but size is smaller i guess) i suppose it's somehow worth than hand-scooping, i hate scoop no matter how 'love' their bundles cos i've had scooped for more than decade and i still need to occasionally.

Messy and difficult to work with

Sure beats sifting by hand. The second tray makes things way easier. Of the three cats I have, one is pretty aggressive in the box, so higher sides would have been great. well made sifting litter box

The "sifting" feature depends on the litter. It did not work for the Feline Pine Original which I intended to use it for, however, it might be just fine for other types of litter.

Only sell the Sifter part so that they can be used with deeper litter boxes.

I would prefer to only have the Sifting part, as my cats require a deeper litter box. So I have purchased deep litter boxes and only need the sifter part in order to pour the litter through the sifter into another Deep Litter box. I do not need 2 shallow pans that my cats could not use, nor would I want them to because the litter would be all over the place in no time. But no, they are not made that way. Works with the pine pellets

Pros: can use the pine pellets, easy to clean,great price.
Cons: it needs a little more space under the sifter pan. Pellets do get stuck but they turn to sawdust.
