I loved how well it played and that it wasn't damaged. There were no skips even with the minimal scratches on the edges. I have cds that are similar shape that don't play as well so this made me very happy. If you liked the movie, you'll love the soundtrack!!!

This movie was, no doubt, a little strange. But, honestly, I enjoyed watching it, mostly because it was so trippy. As for the soundtrack, it's great if you liked the movie and the whole glam rock/David Bowie style. I like listening to it in the car or when I'm hanging out with some friends (and for those who have to worry about it, there's only one, maybe two curse words on the whole cd). Also, I was really impressed by Jonathan Rhys-Meyers's voice. He sings Baby's On Fire and Tumbling Down, and Ewan McGregor sings T.V. Eye. The thing I really love is that I like to listen to all of the songs, not just a few. My only disappointment is that I prefer the Rhys-Meyers version of the Ballad of Maxwell Demon. However, Brian Eno does a good version, too. All-in-all, I'd definitely buy this item again. I would recommend it to anyone who is considering buying it.Read full review...

Velvet goldmine is great

I love the CD but it skips on one of the songs. I am going to get it resurfaced by a friend and hopefully it will be ok.

The movie captures a time of music, sex and general rebel rousing in the most anti establishment ways. This soundtrack is just a glimpse into the music of the glam era that has been underrated and look at with laughs yet if you like David Bowie you can see the seeds planted beyond the am radio and fm friendly tunes I loved it and will hunt down the remained of my T-Rex library since all the songs in the film aren't on the soundtrackRead full review...

Remembering the 70´s.

If you enjoyed the movie I sure one reason for is the music. As we say here "... de puta madre...".
Bowie, Velvet, Iggy, Nico, Warhol, Gonzo?, glam pop, Mr. gay brightside... stop, it´s just a film with a blowmind soundtrack.
