Solid game. I'm only through the first 5 missions, but it's fun. I am playing on normal level, it is a bit easy. I did like "Conflict Vietnam" better, but I am enjoying this one.

Back into the '60s

My brother is active military and my husband's family has been in every war/conflict since the French and Indian War. They both get a hoot out of the vernacular that's used in it. I don't recommend this game for children since it has incredibly strong language (rated M for MATURE) and everything that's discussed about Vietnam is put to use to add authenticity to the game.Read full review...

purple haze

very changeling game l like the war features and the help of the other players.
Action packed of hours worth of fun making your way through the jungles and the eminems war camps.
I don't like the sound track a little hard to make out what they are saying.

Disapointed in Purple Haze

Veitcong was one of my faverate games ever for pc but the playstaion/x-box version is lacking. Although the maps are generaly the same there is alot missing from the pc version such as the tunnel missions and the interactions at base camp. Thats probably why I'm dissappointed. But I still enjoyed playing. If you play this however, don't forget to save and save often.Read full review...

DON'T BUY THIS!

This game is crap! I didn't even play it for five minutes before I took it out of the console. Wasn't worth the six dollars I spent on it. The sound effects and graphics should be alot better even for a game that was released in 2004. There is no realistic feel to it at all. Gameplay is no good. Its too bad beacuse there is very few games based on the Vietnam war. I totally agree with daddyrabbit1234, especailly about the sound effects when you are walking.Read full review...

I have been interested in vietnam so this was good

I got this game because I was interested in vietnam and the history behind the war so this game has given me insite on that era.

got the game for my farther and he was impressed with the graphics and the reality of the game. It is an outstanding game and everyone should try getting this game.
