It works if you do/
This appears to be a good product, but it took an unusually amount of effort to get it to fit. (I've replaced many rings in the past.) I tried to work in the excess, which was enough for other rings.After repeated efforts, I tried fitting the ring as close as I could & then cooking with it, first for 30 minutes, to no avail. The next attempt shrunk the ring to fit, but not enough to build up even 5 lbs. pressure. However, because it now fit, I tried it one more time. and it built up pressure at the 5 lb. level.
