fun game but needs an online option

It's a fun game to play...easy to learn, games go quick, fun to discover hidden moves. But...there is no online play...very disappointing!!!! vf 5 its a must see

I always was a fan of vf4 evolution. since then I continued play this game. my favorite fighting game was and always will be TEKKEN of course but change the game in some ways will also be cheerful. vf the most thing i like most in it is the customization,background and sound. It lacks mostly in controls and command. I really should be more happy if sega upgrade those. so this game should be best for arcade mode to kick some ass. I recommend to buy this game and custom your character for the ultimate ranking.Read full review...

Great looking game, but average gameplay.

This game is the latest iteration of an old arcade favorite. The graphics look great. However, the commentary still sounds the same as the original Virtua Fighter game. As for the controls, the reliance on an outmoded three-command system (Punch, Kick, Guard) affect the smooth execution of moves that can be found in the elite games of this genre, such as Tekken 6, Soul Calibur 4, and Super Street Fighter IV. Even the mere act of jumping is more of a chore than necessary. Die hard fans may appreciate this game, but it is an average game at best.Read full review...

Yeah its a SEGA game.

Honestly I don't know why I bought this game... I knew it was a sega title and should have figgured the legacy of 16 bit carries on to the ps3 platform.

The actual fighting is what kept this game at a below average otherwise I would gave this a poor rating. The player (me) has no interest in the game after 15 mins of playing unlike the MK series you can see blood and more adult actions rather than some kiddy play. This is a great game for those energetic kids under 11 but anyone older would probably get sick with this game after 15 mins. Did I add this the menus and options are almost like the sega genesis system?... ugh so disappointed. My lost is your gain- I will be putting this game up on ebay once I'm finished this review.Read full review...

Virtua Fighter 5 (Playstation 3)

Great fighter if you put the time in to master a character, and play against others who have done this. Lack of online limits doing this without a close group of friends to spar with.
Quest mode somewhat makes up for this, as it offers escalating diffuculty match ups with com controlled fighters.
This game is pretty cheap in most stores now, so it's a great buy.Read full review...
